I was just in Walgreens and there were more jesus related christmas cards than non-jesus related. I DO happen to live in the south, but still. Stop and think for a minute. A whopping **73%** of the people in this country identify themselves as christian, and a good percentage of those people would be categorized as the "wild-eyed jesus freaks" (take a quick look at the front page of this site for confirmation). Now ask yourself this: Why would companies decide NOT to profit from a GIGANTIC slice of the population? Do they hate money? Are all the department and grocery store owners secretly atheists and they've decided that their godless beliefs are more important than making a profit? Companies are not going to intentionally do something that loses a TON of money. This is just common sense. I'm not a christian, but I'd have no problem putting jesus on a mug if I knew a bunch of people would buy it. And I guarantee that business owners feel EXACTLY the same. That's why they are BUSINESS OWNERS and not social activists or something. Do not belive this poster. Go to walgreens and look for tbe word Christmas or Jesus. Do not believe this poster How about don't believe EITHER of us, and go check it out for yourself? You still haven't explained WHY all these stores are allegedly removing jesus from all their merchandise.... are they being forced by an obama squad or something? The Christmas themed cards are not there because Target has chosen not to carry them. Isn't that obvious? The do run ads and promotions supporting gay marriage. They don't allow the Salvation Army, a Christian organization, to have bell ringers outside their stores at Christmas time. |
