I agree 100%. I'm not religious either but people should be free to celebrate it without having to be "politically correct". One year our city put up a sign simply saying "Merry Christmas", due to the outcry they had to take it down and put up a "Seasons Greetings" sign the following year, ridiculous!

I'm building a nativity scene to put in my front yard this Christmas. It'll be big and it will beautifull. I have already put about 14 hours into the project and I'm not even half way done.

Now the really good part I have Muslim neighbours to my left and across the street. Well to do doctors that think they are fuckin better than anyone else. I can't wait to get the dirty looks and stares. Should be a Merry and interesting Christmas ony street

If you want to make it even more exciting you could also do Santa and his reindeer..*(Using target practice deer for your display). That should liven things up also.

I own a business and each year we send out a notice that we will be closed the week of Christmas in order for our employees to spend time with their families. Each year we end it with " May God bless you in the up coming year and have Merry CHRISTmas". It never fails that I have to field at least 1 call from a customer who is upset or going to cancel service because they don't appreciate us cramming "Jesus" down their throat!

It's at this precise moment that being a business owner is priceless:) I tell them that I am not a man of religion, but a man of faith and that everything I have including my business is thru the grace of God and God only and I'm sorry if they are offended. If that doesn't work and their still unhappy..... I will refer them to another company.

This is why people hate Americans.

You take the holiday meant to show brotherly love, and gratitude for what you have, and instead you turn it into a religious slug-out for dominance.

You're all a bunch of fucking hypocrites. This is not a fucking Christian holiday, it's the time of year when many cultures have their holidays. It was a thing long before Jesus showed up.

Why don't you fucks celebrate the holiday by being grateful for what you have? Like you're fucking supposed to? Instead of trying to show up the muzzies or be as flashy and blatant in your religious devotion as possible.

If your ability to buy a type of card affects your ability to celebrate Christmas, you're doing it wrong, and you're a shitty follower to your God.

For whatsoever soul it be that shall not be afflicted in that same day, he shall be cut off from among his people. And whatsoever soul it be that doeth any work in that same day, the same soul will I destroy from among his people. Re: Went to Target to get a birthday card today...
Why should there be? All who follow Yahweh's Appointed Feast Days know that YahuShua/Jesus was born during the Feast of Tabernacles in the fall.

When you celebrate his birth in December, you are giving glory to the father of this world even if you are unaware of it. Come out of the world, My People! We must live IN the world but we are commanded not to be OF the world.

Look into the origins of Saturnalia/Christmas. What you find may surprise you!
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 25260732

AC is correct...as Christians we should NOT be celebrating on Dec. 25.

It is the PAGAN ritual to celebrate the Winter Solstice.

It's the WORSHIP of the SUN GOD. It's Just Aten/Ra/Horus worship repackaged by ROME.

We CERTAINLY shouldn't be putting up christmas trees.

It was ROME that repackaged the Pagan Babylonian/Egyptian Sun Worship and SOLD it as Christianity.

Dec. 25th has NOTHING to do with Jesus.

In the book of Deuteronomy, chapter 12, verse 2, it states, "Ye shall utterly destroy all the places, wherein the nations which ye shall possess served their gods, upon the high mountains, and upon the hills, and under every green tree:"

In this verse it talks about serving false gods under mountains, hills, and in particular, a green tree. If this is not enough evidence that the Christmas tree is not Christian, let us go into detail.

In the book of Jeremiah, chapter 10, verses 1-6. it says, "Hear ye the word which the Lord speaketh unto you, O house of Israel: Thus saith the Lord, Learn not the ways of the heathen, and be not dismayed at the signs of Heaven; for the heathen are dismayed at them, for the customs of the people are vain: for one cutteth a tree out of the forest, the work of the work man, with the axe. They deck it with silver and with gold; they fasten it with nails and with hammers, that it move not. They are upright as the Palm tree, but speak not; they must needs be borne because they cannot go. Be not afraid of them; for they cannot do evil, neither also is it in them to do good. Forasmuch as there is none like unto thee, O LORD; thou art great, and thy name is great in might."

THIS is why so many people are disillusioned with Christianity. It's become some perverse thing polluted by the VATICAN with all of their PAGAN rituals.

As for 'Santa'...cough cough SATAN...don't even get me started. Anyone that tells there kids a magical flying fatman is delivering there kids presents totally DESTROYS Jesus's command of DOING CHARITY from the heart. Not to mention it is practicing the ways of the HEATHEN and their witchcraft.

This entire world is SICK. I'd say 1% of so-called Christians actually read their bible and realize how perverted things are.
 Quoting: mrclean

Christians you should obey their shepards PERIOD If your shepard says this pagan day is the birth of Christ than celebrate the birth of Christ in that day.

The sin you talk about rests on your leaders head, not yours. The men who DELIBERATELY corrupted the holiday thousands of years ago will be JUDGED, not you.

The correct way to handle this is to pray for your shepards to repent from this Pagan holiday and move Christ's birthday to the fall.

It's a pagan holiday. The christians just slapped Jesus' name on it and claimed it as their own. If you people really cared about celebrating Jesus' birth, you'd get rid of all the pagan symbolism (trees/lights/presents, i.e. the fun stuff) and celebrate in the summer, when Jesus was most likely born, with fasting, prayer, and foot baths (Jesus' favorite things).

And he puzzled and puzzled ’till his puzzler was sore. Then the Grinch thought of something he hadn’t before. What if Christmas, he thought, doesn’t come from a store. What if Christmas, perhaps, means a little bit more."

Not true. Target has tons of packages of Christmas cards with the nativity, crosses, Jesus, the star of Bethlehem, etc. They usually have the bulk of their Christmas cards in the special holiday section of the store, not with the rest of the greeting cards.
