It amuses me how so many folks feel the need to tell us that Jesus wasn't born on or near December 25th.
As if that makes a bit of difference.
We don't know for sure when Jesus was born. Big whup! I believe he was born in the fall because whoever decided to take a census would have waited until the crops were harvested and the taxes paid.
December 25th is the day we celebrate Christmas. I don't care if the Catholic church had decided on January 25, July 25th - whatevah!
Since most of us agree it's December 25th and that is the day Christian churches celebrate it, then that is the day we celebrate it. Period.
