Went to Target to get a birthday card today...

It is not a chritian holiday it is the solstice which pagans celebrate and it was stolen by the christians just like everything else

I only read the first two posts, but I have to say that ten years ago I picked up their sale flyer and it was Christmas time, they had much Christmas merchandise advertised such as artificial trees, decorations, gift wrap, toys etc. and the word "Christmas" did not appear once in the entire ad, they called Christmas trees "Holiday Trees" and the whole thing turned me off so much I really haven't wanted to give them my money ever since.

The web site VDare.com has a yearly "War on Christmas" competition with news stories about kids getting kicked out of school for mentioning Christmas, companies threatening their employees if they use the word, etc. I used to read it every year but it made me so angry I had to stop.

I just went on Target's website and found at least 15 cards that are religious themed and are sold in stores. There are many more if you include the online only options.

As an atheist I find this funny. Look man, "Christian" people are a plurality in the US, so it was most likely a christian who decided which cards to order. Maybe they were following the teachings of the man Jesus, who said things like don't loudly proclaim your own righteousness? Does it really matter that cards for a state sanctioned holiday (adapted from an entirely different religion by the way) are not christian?

I'll agree that political correctness is a bit much these days - if someone wants a card with a manger, let them have manger - if someone wants reindeers, let them have reindeers. Christmas isn't a Christian holiday. It is a pagan holiday in honor of the demon god Mithras. And there never was a Nativity scene. There were no wise men at the manger. Only shepherds. The astrologers didn't show up until Jesus was a young child living in a house. The story is so full of lies. Jesus didn't even celebrate his birthday. No Jews did that as it was a pagan custom.
