Go to Lasco C2, and put in 100 frames. There are some of us who are watching that huge flare happening at the left 10:00 position.

There are these things moving from left to right. I don't think they're planets, because the planets always appear bright and with a horizontal bright line through the middle. Meteors, you usually see for a few frames and you see their tails. These things are just cruzin on by.

I'm thinking maybe that flare is brightening things up so much out there that we're seeing stuff that we don't normally see? Space junk? Satellites?

Is this normal?

Whatever it is, it's clearly all moving in aprox the same speed. I think I counted about 10 of them.

Anyone?

If the Moon is off, if Earth wobbles or if there is a pole shift
how can things like this, predicted decades ago, happen?

^^^^^^^too funny, not sure OP, didn't look yet, but we are in a Taurid meteor shower, they move slow according to spaceweather.

I can only make them out if I put 100 frames in the search and press the "faster" button about 3 times.

You need to spend lots of time observing the data that comes from those satellites.
There are lots of odd things that you will see. Many of them are caused by solar radiation that hits the receiver (lens) and makes it seem that there is something there when there isn't.

I have spent a lot of time watching them. I see posts about "what's that next to the sun!" and I roll my eyes, because I KNOW it's probably the first time someone has seen the orbits of Venus or Mercury passing by the sun.

This does NOT look like anything I've ever seen. I've seen sun diving comets, I've seen planets. I've seen those particles darting around all over and that's very normal.

I've never seen stars or debris slowly moving, which is what this looks like.

Those are cosmic rays streaking across the CCD's that are used for imagining.

Would you mind explaining this a little better? What are CCDs?

Thanks!

Re: What is this stuff flying by the Sun? Not planets, not meteors!
Please see [link to en.wikipedia.org] for full details.

The short of it is these are the chips that record the data, same thing is present in digital cameras.

from the source: A charge-coupled device (CCD) is a device for the movement of electrical charge, usually from within the device to an area where the charge can be manipulated, for example conversion into a digital value. This is achieved by "shifting" the signals between stages within the device one at a time. CCDs move charge between capacitive bins in the device, with the shift allowing for the transfer of charge between bins.

This is in NO way a digital anomaly. DID you look at the footage? This is very clear. It looks nothing like what you speak of. I'm very aware of what digital artifacts look like.

Put in any date and timeframe - these things move from left to right since the first LASCO pictures.
They move all with the same speed, regardless what date you give.
And the funny thing is: same date, different years, same dots .

What can this be? Make an educated guess.

Snap it.

Screw you Russia we just hacked it.

Why? Because you are demented terrorists.

R-class flare?

Nope Russia. Stop lying, we know what you are doing.
