GLP Oldtimers a question for you

Hi all, I've been lurking here for awhile. I found this site right around the infamous Miami zombie attack and Colorado movie theater shooting. I guess for me those two events seemed to suggest "more to the story". I stumbled upon GLP while researching.

Ever since then I come back daily to see what the new "hotness" is for the day. Of course some posts seem totally off base but I've found a number of them to be great because MSM will follow a few days later with similar info.

What I'm curious about is how things have changed on the site over the years? Since I've been lurking posts seem more dire and there appears to be a huge step change in the tone just in the last few months.

So I'm curious whether it's always been like this or whether there are indeed significant events building up.

Just curious what you old timers think?
