Pray tell where are you? I am on the East side of Lake Washington, I honestly thought you were a shill but, I went out and do hear something new. Low and slow like ...maybe 110 decibels.

You mean hertz? That would be an awfully loud sound otherwise.

I'm in Oregon, I don't hear anything, where are you at?

I live in San Francisco / Bay Area...northern California. People for months say they keep hearing some kind of "roar". I never heard it and skeptical about it. This week though, I do notice things are a bit "louder' than usual. Like the every day noise is echoed in the air. Like the noise continues for longer than normal. Anyway, hope nothing come of it and if it does, hope all will be safe and the family and friends as well.

Northern Mid-atlantic Ridge then 15-20 min later Southern Alaska gets EQ. Happened twice.

It's low pitched and sounds like a distant train or something. Seems to be coming from the South. It kinda goes away and then it gets louder. It's been going on for about an hour and now seems to be dying down.

Greenpeace Finland is bearing witness and taking samples at a toxic spill that began on Sunday in the north of the country. The Talvivaara metal mine, owned and operated by Talvivaara Mining Company plc, has been leaking water containing high concentrations of nickel and uranium at a rate of between 5000-6000 cubic metres an hour.
