After some 'soul searching' (excuse the pun), they are the same. It is in essence, soul / spirit is what connects us to a deeper intelligence (God). So, it is merely different words for the same thing, like 'Deeper intelligence" (God) or the many names we give God to mean the 'infinte intelligence'.... you get the drift.
