China is one big bubble that is beginning to burst. An open confrontation with the US seems inevitable regardless of what they do to try to stop it or control it. War, even a limited one, is a great distraction and way to blunt the rising of the impoverished - at least temporarily. |

What's the current situation on US imports from China then? AFAIK China and US are in a symbiotic relationship for now. US needs Chinese manufacturing and China needs US importing. That isn't going to change any time soon unless something drastic happens. Besides, challenging the US would be insanity. China and Russia combined spend less than 1/3 of what US spends on military and they don't have powerful navies. |
