MOUNT BLANC UFO IMPACT !!!

COURMAYEUR - An unidentified object would have crashed in some remote corner of Mont Blanc. Witnesses speak of a disc burning like a balloon. i've known that region quite well; chanches are high they won't be able to reach the place where something crashed.

it's logical they aborted the mission: the rescue guards are not going to risk their own lifes, just to see if something hit a mountain.

my apologies, the article i linked above is years old...

the witnesses are the most likely to find whatever it was, but if there was no impact occurance/sound I doubt it was anything of significance

the chanches of something crashing near a trail are very slim, and all other places aren't easily accessible. on top of that: it's november and the glaciers aren't stable yet. the area around that refugio is already in danger of avalanches.

on the other hand: if it crashed at 2800 meters altitude, it won't be buried in the eternal snow. most of the terrain are loose eroded rocks. it should be easy to notice from a distance, if it didn't get buried in the rubble.
