my least favorite thing about this site

All the nobody threads. All the ask me a question threads. Weird place lol. Its like that part of your mind that you cant get to shut the fuck up when your trying to meditate. With a little time and practice you will somehow be scrolling passed all those threads without even realizing they are there. As for burying the good threads, yeah that sucks.

I will bump this thread once a day till December 21st

Not just a womanizer, but a guy who would send his AR state troopers to deliver his playtoys to seedy motels on demand.

When the TPTB realized the people would elect him anayway, they made sure it happened. then they made a drama about Monica lewinksi, while him, rubin, reich, algore, greenspan were seeding the destruction of america unabated, via the housing bubble, repeal of glass stegal and NAFTA.

Its so obvious here its even funny...But i seriously doubt they re fooling anyone.

While the 'disinformation' motive is a primary effect, I will go out on a limb and say that the majority of GLP doesn't mess with those threads too terribly much. They're usually pretty self contained.


However, might there be a secondary effect, regardless of the intentionality behind the thread in the first place?

Think of human behavior patterns in regards to regular GLP users. We refresh the hell out of the main page, scrolling constantly. Just because you ignore (or lol and scroll-on) the thread titles with your conscious mind, that doesn't mean your subconscious does. The scrolling and refreshing means that you're likely to see the thread title more than once, and the fact that there is usually more than one of these threads on the main page means there's more than one 'attack vector', of sorts, at your subconscious mind.

Conscious and subconscious filters might be the key to dealing with the potential issue I discussed in the above paragraph. Think of the filters as a "shield" of sorts.

I would imagine that the first step to setting these up would just being conscious that whether it is intentional or not, even the damn thread titles can have an effect on your subconscious... maybe even a cumulative one? I'm not sure because, like I've attempted to imply in this reply, I'm no expert on the subconscious and am just musing about a potential secondary effect.


With "shields up", one can still at the ridiculousness/attempts-of-shillery with those threads while not having negating any potential attempt at a secondary attack vectors into one's subconscious.
