An Interior Ministry source told London-based Asharq al-Awsat newspaper on Monday that the state is taking a Salafi sheikh’s calls to destroy the Giza Pyramids and Sphinx seriously

What would destroying a pyramid achieve? I was thinking the other day about what all pyramids have in common. Can you guess? That at one point in time, they all became abandoned. The civilizations that grew up around pyramids all vanished or were destroyed. Strange isn't it?

What would destroying a pyramid achieve? I was thinking the other day about what all pyramids have in common. Can you guess? That at one point in time, they all became abandoned. The civilizations that grew up around pyramids all vanished or were destroyed. Strange isn't it?
