It's been awhile since I've pondered about the significance of the veil. Such precious insight into the significance of the veil tearing in two, only reminds me and warms my heart to the wonder and love of our Great God!

The only way sinful man could ever approach a most holy God is by means of blood.

Christ-our Sacrificial Lamb-was wounded for OUR transgressions!

He offered Himself as "the ransom for many".

The day of His crucifixion, He SUFFERED--He suffered the wrath of God against the sinner.

AND IT WAS AN ACT OF LOVE!

HE VOLUNTARILY laid down His Life for the redemption of mankind.

Greater love has no one than this, that someone lay down his life for his friends. (JOHN 15:13)

Then, precisely at that moment when He cried out from the cross, "IT IS FINISHED!", THAT VEIL TORE IN TWO, FROM TOP TO BOTTOM!!

ONLY THE MIGHTY HAND OF GOD COULD TEAR THAT VEIL!

The customary mourning gesture of a devoted Jewish father, when standing at his son's deathbed, is to tear his outer garment.

When God heard the LOUD DEATH CRY of our DIVINE SUBSTITUTE--HIS ONLY SON-God was satisfied.

Because God reached down and tore the veil in two, the way is now open for all men to come boldly to the throne of grace through the atoning death of Christ.

All who have believed and are united with Christ, "have redemption through His blood” and forgiveness of their sins.

And what do I say to that?
