Iran army ready and self-reliant: US military analyst
A US-based military analyst says Iran’s ongoing massive military maneuver involving the Army and the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) shows the readiness of the country and its military self-reliance.

Omar Lamrani, a military analyst with the Texas-based global Security think tank Stratfor said “The Iranians are demonstrating to themselves and the world that their air defenses are at the highest state of readiness,” US News reported on Monday.

Referring to the seven-day, Modafe'an-e Aseman-e Velayat 4 (Defenders of the Velayat Sky 4) maneuver, Lamrani said Iran aims to demonstrate and develop its existing capabilities by holding the drill.

"What we know for sure is they are making progress," the analyst said. "They are becoming more independent from foreign markets."

The massive war simulation was launched in Iran’s South Khorasan Province located east of the country on Monday.

Radar air defense and missile systems as well as tapping, artillery and surveillance systems will be employed during the first stage of the maneuver.

If you match up technology vs technology Iran has no chance...Literally no chance

Iran - Possibly has the S300 surface to air missile system surrounding its nuclear developments

America - Fy22 was designed to beat the newest S400 system. The Fy22 has flown against the S300 that a NATO counterpart has and destroyed it in every instance.

Once air superiority is gained - game over. They will carve the country up into kill boxes, roll the carriers in and it will be good night sweet prince.

Anyone that thinks Iran will be a challenge hasnt been paying attention to the chess pieces. On the flip side they will do damage to our interest in the region.

Re: Iran army ready and self-reliant: US military analyst
All on schedule, of course.

Israels constant bitching about Iran and talks of war made Iran a harder foe to engage with.

In a way, Israel has given Iran ample warning to fortify.

Does that sound like a nation that truly wants the conflict they say they are after?

If Israel REALLY feared Irans production of nuclear weapons, quick action is one of the most basic mantras of war.

Procrastinating as they did is a huge mistake. But thats it, Israel isn't making any mistakes. They want Iran to be strong, they want a tough war.

Because, the bankers see their greatest profits in war.

It's just how it is, until things change. We all face WW3 for a handful of people, international bankers that run the world.

The secret leaders you never hear of.

the constant war began in 1952 when israel was apartide by decree of great britain on behalf of the poor ol holocaust victims (haha)

it's been blood shed since then because "god" (the united nations and great britian) gave them that land so no one else can come in, not even the people who lived there before 1952. they all had to go, be it the next country over or 6 feet below.

i hope iran cuts out the cancer that plagues the region.

The U.S. has a huge problem coping with assymetric warfare, Vietnam being a classic example..

The Iranians aint stupid, they have geared most of their strategy towards assynetric warfare, i think the US will be in for some big (unpleasant) suprises if they do attack Iran.

However, although you seem to dismiss their tech as way inferior, the US drone they managed to bring down intact says otherwise, this was no act of a technology deprived force...

I agree, because new tactics can bring a very large force to it's knees.

There are accounts in history where a dozen soldiers win against thousands.

A person who is blatantly disregarding the potential for revolutionary warfare shows their lack of understanding for real war planning.

Publically available technology is being incorporated into guerrilla warfare, making a nasty mess of bloody tech hacks designed to kill large numbers of people.

What if someone did get a lethal bioweapon into a cities water system? That is the threat we face.

And to an extent, yes the U.S could be looking at a dire situation if it tries to occupy Iran, but if they merely want to bomb the hell outta their infrastructure and leave them in ruins there's not much Iran can do about it and most of the destruction to the infrastructure will be done and over with before Russia or China can find the keys to its war machine.

However, I agree if we go there to occupy then it could be as bad or worse than Vietnam. And doing so would allow the chinese n russians to show up in time to kick off ww3. Both scenarios would be very bad for all involved and diplmacy would be much better, but we know that ain't happening.

Thankfully the US forces in general don't share your stupidity... Haven't been doing that for years btw... For a reason...

And btw, pls don't join the armed forces... We don't need your tactical console fantasies against an enemy who excels at strategy...

Just using the drone example of their technical capabilities, i mean, who else could do that? and if they can land that drone, that was supposed to be THE lastest STEATH drone of the US, well, thats quite a feat, first of all they would have to detect it (which kinda puts the US F117 and B1 bombers into question) then hack into it, then somehow override the controls and land it...

Sounds to me that they are more than ready for the "real deal" the S 300 AA system is nothing to be sniffed at, it would make mincemeat out of non steath aircraft and maybe steath as well judging how they managed to detect the steath drone.....just sayin..
