Yawn, been here before, got the t shirt, Iraq was the same, had the best money oil could buy from Russia, the best air defensive systems that were available, well they were useless when the US Airforce and the RAF came knocking, since then yeah Russia have improved there systems, but do you think US and UK technology hasnt improved too? Russia is twenty years plus behind us, If you match up technology vs technology Iran has no chance...Literally no chance
Iran - Possibly has the S300 surface to air missile system surrounding its nuclear developments
America - Fy22 was designed to beat the newest S400 system. The Fy22 has flown against the S300 that a NATO counterpart has and destroyed it in every instance.
Once air superiority is gained - game over. They will carve the country up into kill boxes, roll the carriers in and it will be good night sweet prince.
Anyone that thinks Iran will be a challenge hasnt been paying attention to the chess pieces. On the flip side they will do damage to our interest in the region.

The U.S. has a huge problem coping with assymetric warfare, Vietnam being a classic example.. The Iranians aint stupid, they have geared most of their strategy towards assynetric warfare, i think the US will be in for some big (unpleasant) suprises if they do attack Iran. However, although you seem to dismiss their tech as way inferior, the US drone they managed to bring down intact says otherwise, this was no act of a technology deprived force... Problem is when the shit goes down they ain't gonna be no drones bombing Iran, but the real deal. Of course they may send some in as Iran is tied up trying to deal with the real fighter jets. And to an extent, yes the U.S could be looking at a dire situation if it tries to occupy Iran, but if they merely want to bomb the hell outta their infrastructure and leave them in ruins there's not much Iran can do about it and most of the destruction to the infrastructure will be done and over with before Russia or China can find the keys to its war machine. However, I agree if we go there to occupy then it could be as bad or worse than Vietnam. And doing so would allow the chinese n russians to show up in time to kick off ww3. Both scenarios would be very bad for all involved and diplmacy would be much better, but we know that ain't happening. Just using the drone example of their technical capabilities, i mean, who else could do that? and if they can land that drone, that was supposed to be THE lastest STEATH drone of the US, well, thats quite a feat, first of all they would have to detect it (which kinda puts the US F117 and B1 bombers into question) then hack into it, then somehow override the controls and land it... Sounds to me that they are more than ready for the "real deal" the S 300 AA system is nothing to be sniffed at, it would make mincemeat out of non steath aircraft and maybe steath as well judging how they managed to detect the steath drone.....just sayin.. |
