I see a disturbing precedent here. Last State out is left holding the bag, the Federal deficit bag that is.

some more math

current active US Military - 150K

current active Blackwater Xe - 98K

150K + 98K = 248K

signors of the petitions = 350K

you have the mass advantage in numbers
by 102K.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 27692055

Who the fuck ARE you people? 350K dicktuggers sign a petition. SIGN a petition. You then turn this into a dickwagging contest of, yeah, 350k is more than 250k, so, yeah, uh huh uh huh, yeah, you can fight the gov't.

Ha ha ha ha.

Oh, the Marines are @ 190,000.
Army, 770,000

etc., etc.,

I bet half of those signers are lard-ass pig snout-eating dullards of the "do whut??" variety.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 19054218

Close enough, total active military = 1,458,697 and another 857,261 for reserves and national guard!

AND the 350,000 signatures is 50,000 less than the petition to have Trump removed as a Macy's pitchman. So . . .

there are more people upset with Trump than there are wanting to secede form the union.

So. There.

Big Fucking Deal. NOT.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 22411639

I bet if you had it on during dancing with the stars where you could vote by phone for your state to secede the amount of votes totaled would be at least 170Million.

More than voted in the presidential election, sheep and dancing with the stars. LOL

posters keep saying 350K is only but a fringe
however what they don't tell you is that
only 200K took Normandy back from Hitler.

350K is enough to take back a country.

what the fvck are you waiting for ??
an invitation ??
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 27692055

Last I checked, the entire United States rather dwarfs the size of Normandy, a mere province of France. Maybe the secessionist can liberate Rhode Island? lol

In all seriousness, again, I think it would be rather hysterical to watch what would ensue should Texas actually secede from the US. I wonder how long it would take before the cartels moved in. Probably about as long as it would take for the US government to withdraw all of its military from the bases within Texas because ya'll sure as hell wouldn't be keeping it. And if the cartels didn't move in, then I wonder how long it would take before Texas rivaled Nigeria?
 Quoting: ArmchairObserver

What you fail to realize is that Texas is heavily armed, more so than any of the cartels. It would be the end of the cartels to invade Texas.

More importantly, Texans are very loyal to their state. Any military personnel from Texas would likely remain in Texas, IMO.

I hope that they all have the same idea for what they want for their states. Because going away from the U.S. is one thing but what they want is another thing.
