The Bridegroom
I am curious how you see this.

But Jesus also specifically says there is NO MARRIAGE IN HEAVEN.

There will be no "divorce" in heaven for this is an earthly term.

God on the otherhand is perfect and in there was never a purpose for "divorce" in His idea of marriage.

God only allowed divorce between earthly men and women because of the SIN that is between them that caused sorrow and great division.

And here is another thing.

Two people of the same sex supposedly "marrying" is an abomination.

They think that they can legitimize this sodomic union by having a heretical priest or minister do it, but who said such a person is even of God?

Such an abomination is not a union and comes from the very pits of hell.

It's not a literal marriage, but symbolic of the 2 becoming 1.

We are the bride of Christ, meaning Him and Us become as one.

u r right about marriage not being about sex.
But procreation? Yes that is what marriage is about.
If we wouldn't procreate how would we have been born onto this earth.

Where do you come up with this stuff?

Jesus did not marry because it was not his mission to do so.
He was sent by his Heavenly Mother and Father to spread the word of resurrection about how to be free from the bounds of earth the bounds of gravity.
How could he have finished his mission if would have had a family.

The powers would have surely threatened him through his family.

Re: The Bridegroom
the Bridal Chamber Sacrement is a Gnostic sacrement. I suggest reading the gnostic gospel of Phillip if you are interested.

It is from water and fire that the soul and the spirit came into being. It is from water and fire and light that the son of the bridal chamber (came into being). The fire is the chrism, the light is the fire. I am not referring to that fire which has no form, but to the other fire whose form is white, which is bright and beautiful, and which gives beauty. Also, another lead is the Valentinian school of thought.

The Lord did everything in a mystery, a baptism and a chrism and a eucharist and a redemption and a bridal chamber. [...] he said, "I came to make the things below like the things above, and the things outside like those inside. I came to unite them in the place." [...] here through types [...]and images.

When Eve was still with Adam, death did not exist. When she was separated from him, death came into being. If he enters again and attains his former self, death will be no more.

A bridal chamber is not for the animals, nor is it for the slaves, nor for defiled women; but it is for free men and virgins.

Through the Holy Spirit we are indeed begotten again, but we are begotten through Christ in the two. We are anointed through the Spirit. When we were begotten, we were united. None can see himself either in water or in a mirror without light. Nor again can you see in light without mirror or water. For this reason, it is fitting to baptize in the two, in the light and the water. Now the light is the chrism.

The soul of Adam came into being by means of a breath. The partner of his soul is the spirit.

Adam came into being from two virgins, from the Spirit and from the virgin earth. Christ therefore, was born from a virgin to rectify the Fall which occurred in the beginning.

Those who say they will die first and then rise are in error. If they do not first receive the resurrection while they live, when they die they will receive nothing. So also when speaking about baptism they say, "Baptism is a great thing," because if people receive it they will live.

The chrism is superior to baptism, for it is from the word "Chrism" that we have been called "Christians," certainly not because of the word "baptism". And it is because of the chrism that "the Christ" has his name. For the Father anointed the Son, and the Son anointed the apostles, and the apostles anointed us. He who has been anointed possesses everything. He possesses the resurrection, the light, the cross, the Holy Spirit. The Father gave him this in the bridal chamber; he merely accepted (the gift). The Father was in the Son and the Son in the Father. This is the Kingdom of Heaven.

Whereas in this world the union is one of husband with wife - a case of strength complemented by weakness(?) - in the Aeon (eternal realm), the form of the union is different, although we refer to them by the same names. There are other names, however; they are superior to every other name that is named and are stronger than the strong. For where there is a show of strength, there those who excel in strength appear. These are not separate things, but both of them are this one single thing. This is the one which will not be able to rise above the heart of flesh.

Re: The Bridegroom
From Matthew ch 22:
1. And Jesus answered and spake unto them again by parables, and said,

2. The kingdom of heaven is like unto a certain king, which made a marriage for his son,
3. And sent forth his servants to call them that were bidden to the wedding: and they would not come.
4. Again, he sent forth other servants, saying, Tell them which are bidden, Behold, I have prepared my dinner: my oxen and my fatlings are killed, and all things are ready: come unto the marriage.
5. But they made light of it, and went their ways, one to his farm, another to his merchandise:
6. And the remnant took his servants, and entreated them spitefully, and slew them.
7. But when the king heard thereof, he was wroth: and he sent forth his armies, and destroyed those murderers, and burned up their city.

8. Then saith he to his servants, The wedding is ready, but they which were bidden were not worthy.
9. Go ye therefore into the highways, and as many as ye shall find, bid to the marriage.
10. So those servants went out into the highways, and gathered together all as many as they found, both bad and good: and the wedding was furnished with guests.
11. And when the king came in to see the guests, he saw there a man which had not on a wedding garment:
12. And he saith unto him, Friend, how camest thou in hither not having a wedding garment? And he was speechless.
13. Then said the king to the servants, Bind him hand and foot, and take him away, and cast him into outer darkness; there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
14. For many are called, but few are chosen.

God's Call Upon your heart is your invitation to The Wedding Feast. Christ was Sent Unto the world To Enable us to Share Relationship With The Father.

If you Love Christ Jesus and Know WHO HE IS, your heart was Called By The Father. If you cannot answer HIS Call with surrender and Complete Trust, you have spurned HIS Invitation.

Being Born-Again per Ezekiel 36:26-27 IS your Wedding Garment. None will remain With Father who aren't Born-Again.

Christ Jesus Enabled your Coming Unto The Father through HIS Sacrifice, our Redemption. It is your free-will decision to take action and give God control and guidance of your life.

This is the Laodicean church age. Most Christians are unwilling to Trust God, but have invested their trust in religious doctrines, dogma, and false-witness given them by lying teachers, ministers, preachers, and priests.

There is only One Way Unto The Father. The Gospel Of Christ is plain that it is heart that matters to God, not reasoning skills or Bible study. See Matthew 13:11-17 for Jesus' Witness.

What matters in your life, IF you Love Christ and Know HIM To BE God The Son, is to make your surrender Unto The Father and Come Into HIS Accord. Life lived In HIS Accord is Witnessed in Ezekiel 36:
26. A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh.
27. And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments, and do them.

John 17 is Jesus' last Witness to HIS Disciples before HE was crucified. If you are living the Ezekiel 36 Born-Again Life, you will recognize John 17 as True in your life.

It is really sad, how the blind and deaf struggle with Truth.

Even when they hear it they cannot hear it.
Even when they see it, they cannot understand what they have seen plainly.

It is like going to these liberal colleges and universities these days. They make you read some sentence and tell you that what is clearly written is not what it means but something that you "interpret" it to mean. What a bunch of BULLSHIT.

If you cannot understand what is told you plainly, how will you ever see the Truth?

Only the Truth can show light on the Truth.
The Truth is Jesus Christ.
Believe in Him and open your eyes.

Another Witness From Christ Jesus (matt ch 13):

10. And the disciples came, and said unto him, Why speakest thou unto them in parables?

11. He answered and said unto them, Because it is given unto you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it is not given.
12. For whosoever hath, to him shall be given, and he shall have more abundance: but whosoever hath not, from him shall be taken away even that he hath.

13. Therefore speak I to them in parables: because they seeing see not; and hearing they hear not, neither do they understand.

14. And in them is fulfilled the prophecy of Esaias, which saith, By hearing ye shall hear, and shall not understand; and seeing ye shall see, and shall not perceive:

15. For this people's heart is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes they have closed; lest at any time they should see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and should understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them.

16. But blessed are your eyes, for they see: and your ears, for they hear.
17. For verily I say unto you, That many prophets and righteous men have desired to see those things which ye see, and have not seen them; and to hear those things which ye hear, and have not heard them.

Many are called, but few are chosen....

This people's heart is waxed gross...

How is your heart?
Are you seeking to understand God before you grant HIM your consent to BE God, or do you Love HIM Unconditionally and w/o reservation?

Matters to you to understand Scripture, The Gospel, The Bible before you can let God BE God?

This is the Laodicean chuch age.
Most Christians, in the West at least, are so disposed.
Billy Graham and his anti-Christ minions who promote Christianity for dummies, because they have yet to Trust God Fully with their lives have sold the Christian World a bill of goods...

Don't Abide In & With HIM?
Born-Again By The Father?
Expect that God Knows you???

In Matthew 7 and Luke 13, Jesus Witnesses that unless you are Born-Again, HE will Not Know you... Like the wedding guest with no Wedding Garment, in Luke 13 Jesus Witnesses those will be ejected with much tears and gnashing of teeth...

You either Love and Know Christ or you don't.
The Strait Gate is long closed.
Soon The Age Of Faith will also close and with it your ability to make your Leap Of Faith, aka your surrender Unto The Father...

What matters is your heart and whether you can Trust God Fully. The crux of it is: Will you take the brief time to tell HIM so?

If you are still looking for clarity in Scripture or seeking some "sign" or other proof you think you need before you can commit your life Unto The Father's Hand; in these final moments you need to decide to Trust...

My witness is that many are called but few choose to Trust God with their lives and make their surrender.

Of course, if your heart is "waxed gross" my witness will mean nothing; but if you are earnest and sincere in your Love For Father, Son, and Holy Spirit NOW IS The Time to take action and seek The Father in prayer and open your heart Unto HIM...

From Matthew ch 7:

21. Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
22. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
23. And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

Born-Again, are you?
Given "a new heart of flesh" By The Father, per Ezekiel 36:26
26. A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh.

Doing The Will Of MY Father Which IS In Heaven?
Enabled To Do So BY The Father, per Ezekiel 36:27???
27. And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments, and do them.

Been IN Father-God's Presence and made your surrender?

Until you crucify your carnal-heart by surrendering Unto The Father, you remain alienated and apart. Carnal-hearted. A "worker of iniquity" which means self-willed...

All Scripture Witnesses Christ Jesus and Father God's Perfection!

Can't Trust God with every aspect of your life?
Can't tell HIM you Know WHO Christ Jesus IS and admit and repent of your sins?
Won't let HIM BE God and Guide and Direct your life seeking only HIS Will and desiring to serve only HIM?

Oh well...

No.. "The Church" is NOT the Vatican.

The poster gave you a very very very good definition/explanation.. you erroneously "assuming" that the Vatican is what was meant by "The Church" is totally throwing you off with the rest of your deductions.

You began with totally incorrect assumptions which prevented you from deducting a valid conclusion.

In other words.. you're completely wrong because you began with incorrect assumptions.

Understand.. just because the Vatican calls itself "The Church" doesn't mean that they actually are "The Church".

I can call myself a peanut butter and jelly sandwich.. but that doesn't mean I really am one.. does it?

The same principle applies with the Vatican calling itself The Church. It doesn't mean they really are. And most definitely they are not.
