louisiana has 4.5 million

so the texas petition has 3/10 of 1% of the population
the louisiana petition has 6/10 of 1% of the population

The petitions on the White house web site just keep growing and getting crazier.

there are now petitions on there to deport, arrest, etc. everybody who has signed a succession petition, as well as multiple state petitions now.

I am not a signatory of the Texas petition, never will be... but we should take this seriously because there are a signficant number of people in this state who would sign that petition. Unlikely enough to turn-the-tide... for now. If things keep going as they do... a decade from now mmay be a different story. We are NOT that far away from a dissolution of the USA.

It's amazing, but the media will focus on 200 OWS people camping in a public park, and make them out to be a landslide grass roots movement, but they 75,000 taxpayers who are in favor of national divorce are said to mean nothing....

I actually added up the signatures of all the states petitions (36 at the time) and it was over450K signatures.

That is about 100K total... just 24 million, 900 thousand... less than your subject line indicates.
