Last week south of Denver we had a flight of 4 F-16 orbiting low and slow with white (live) 1000lb bombs on the rails. 3 days in a row iirc.

I'm the OP. Have a slight correction...it was actually ten jets at regular altitude and then five stacked in stair-step formation with afterburners fired simultaneously to catch up with the other ten. Sorry I got the numbers off, but it is still strange and a lot of aircraft traveling together. My brother-in-law said he has never seen anything like this except at a air show and I grew up near Camp LeJeune and have never witnessed anything like this.

He also mentioned that the last two planes must have been re-fuelers because they were traveling parallel, close formation at the same altitude as the first ten jets. This could not have been commercial flights because they would not be flying that close together.

I'm sitting here reading this and a helicopter flies over my house. LOL I actually had a dream a few nights ago about Military planes flying over my house. They were coming from the north going south. Hundreds of them in different formations. I was terrified in my dream, then a voice told me I would be ok.
