When you accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour and ask Him to forgive you of your sins, know that in that moment, you are forgiven and you become a New Creation in Jesus Christ.

Once you make this commitment, here are a few simple things to strengthen your Faith and follow in Him.

Pick up a Bible <- start reading it.

Pray frequently (try praying and giving thanks before meals, try praying and giving thanks when you wake up in the morning and at nights before you sleep).

Have conversation with God in your private time (this could be when you are walking/taking a stroll, driving, taking a shower, etc...). The more you talk to God, the more you think about Him and the more you have Him in your mind, the more you will align your heart to His will and purpose.

When you are tempted and oh you will because Satan will be enraged even more so that you beat Him and now out of his grasp, concentrate on the Word of God, this is why prayer and reading the Word of God in the Bible is critical for all Christians.

Deny the temptation constantly.
Turn away from what is evil and sinful.
You will fail over and over and over, but as you fail and ask forgiveness and TRULY REPENT IN YOUR HEART, you will become more and more stronger to resist Satan and his temptations.
Remember always to ask in the Name of Jesus Christ and to rely on Him, for it is by HIS POWER that you have become free of SIN and by HIS POWER that you resist temptation, because His Spirit is with you in your heart, living in you, forever.

Ask frequently in your prayers to Jesus for help in overcoming sin and temptation that all areas of your life that is manifest with sin should be cleansed and cut out of your life.

For NOW you are a New Creation in Jesus Christ and you follow HIM.

When you fail and fall to temptation, think of this.
It is not Satan gaining ground on you or being victorious over you but that Satan is only trying to get the old you back the way you are, because before Jesus Christ came, he had you completely in his power.

Now that you have Jesus Christ in your heart, Satan is frantic because he has lost his grasp on your forever and the only thing he can do now is bring you down by making you do your old sin behaviour again.

If you resist him, it will be easier and easier to resist him as you build up in you in the Word of God and your resolve in following Jesus Christ!

It is not Satan gaining ground on your but him losing ground more and more.

Because when you give your life and heart to Jesus Christ you have already WON, because Jesus Christ has already been victorious.

But because we are still not perfected, and wait for that Day when Jesus Christ comes for us and changes us to perfection, we struggle with our old self that constantly tries to rise up and bring us back down to where we were.

But realize that when you give you life over to Jesus Christ, you can NEVER go back to how you were and Satan knows this. So the only thing he can do is put doubt and inhibit your growth in the Lord, that you might not do as much greater works in the Name of Jesus Christ by leading others to our Lord, Jesus Christ!

Have Faith, ye who believe in Jesus Christ.
What have you to be worried about any longer?
You are eternal.
You are saved.
You are now a Son of God also, In Jesus Christ!

Now, is it not time to Act like it?
