Debunking the bible | |
Anonymous Coward User ID: 26980506 United States 11/13/2012 02:53 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | Basically your agenda is to disprove the bible then? That's it? Quoting: Anonymous Coward 26980506 Why? What do you get out of that? Do you think you'll be King? Seriously dude. What's your point? Do you think YOU are the one (after all this time) that will be the ONE to bring peace to the earth by destroying the bible? No. I myself spent a great deal of thought looking at religions, doing soul searching trying to find out the truth. So many religions. So many arguments. Then, in my twenties I began to study philosophy. Decision making. Evaluation skills. And I learned about how courts worked. And WHY they worked that way. And when I applied these same mental processes to religious texts it totally altered the way I looked at them. Suddenly I no longer searched through each line in the bible wondering... "I wonder if the man who wrote this was telling the truth" I started thinking... "How do I know if this guy really existed?" I started thinking, "These are just words in a book. Who says these guys even existed?" And it changed my whole perspective. So my agenda was to share this tool. This thought process of looking at where information comes from, and consciously thinking "how credible is the source of this information?" That was my agenda. That was all. To destroy people's faith? Why? To do what? What does that solve. You may be a bright guy, but trust me pal, unless God comes down himself and tells you the mysteries...you ain't gonna find them out. Philosophy is admirable, but it is ego-maniacal and self-serving at it's lowest form. |

This thought process of looking at where information comes from, and consciously thinking "how credible is the source of this information?" That was my agenda. That was all. once again op......youre an idiot Look. It is simple. If you find your religious leaders to be 'credible', then when they say the bible is 'credible' you see the bible as a 'credible' source as well. This makes the bible testimonial evidence. Faith is believing in something without evidence. So if you believe in Christianity because of the Bible, then you don't have Faith. You don't have belief without proof. The bible is your proof. [link to en.wikipedia.org] Anyway, I got stuff to do. Have fun bashing on me. Later |

Anonymous Coward User ID: 26980506 United States 11/13/2012 03:10 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | There doesn't need to be "faith" To believe in the Bible. The Bible is a three-dimensional object that even a nonbeliever can see and feel. here it is from the Bible...So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God (Bible). For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. Joel 2:32 14 How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher? 15 And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things! Isa 52:7 16 But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Esaias saith, Lord, who hath believed our report? Isa 53:1 17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. |

Men in robes and point hats tell you that the bible is true. Wow..would you please stop assuming the Christian church is the same as the Roman Catholic church!? You pinheads are all alike. You are a dime-a-dozen. You think Christianty=Roman Catholic. PLEASE do a LITTLE research before attempting to up-end 2,000 years of Christianity with a STUPID argument. Your type make me laugh. It almost embarassing to read your posts, but I just can't stay away from osberving stupid. Please go do something constructive with your life. Jesus really does love you, but I think you are stupid. |

Even when I was a child I knew the Bible was nothing more than a fairy tale simply because of that part. However, even if it is a fairy tale, the super hero in the story (Jesus) had some great words of wisdom to live by. |

Calling him a serpent only means the dragon's wings are folded. If the 4 that are released for the 6th trump are said to have about '50M horsepower' each, think that is enough energy to kill 2.2B people in 1110 days? So you still a kid or are you ready to meet His dad? |

Even when I was a child I knew the Bible was nothing more than a fairy tale simply because of that part. However, even if it is a fairy tale, the super hero in the story (Jesus) had some great words of wisdom to live by. You think? The Garden of Eden no longer exists, but when it did it was heaven on earth. You can't even consider the possibility that the animals and Adam and Eve shared an unspoken language of love, perhaps it was lyrical as the birds of today, I don't know, but no animal, including the snake was dangerous at all. To get to the only two people that were created in God's image, the adversary, now fallen from heaven, had to get them somehow to follow his plan of destruction by disobeying God as all sufficient for all their needs. By whatever language that was used in the garden, for Eve to find herself speaking to a snake, was not an issue, but the words that were being transmitted to her via the snake was the issue. She considered them as a thing to desire and fell for the lie. Now, Satan is the ruler of this world and most everyone is scared of snakes. |
