Apparently they think that putting hearts and butterflies on the new stamp Will make most people not realize that the rest is Arabic.

President Obama has directed the United States Postal Service To REMEMBER and HONOR the EID MUSLIM holiday season with A new commemorative 44-Cent First Class Holiday Postage Stamp.

First off, that's a custom-designed stamp. Zazzle.com lets you design and print your own stamps (within reason): [link to www.zazzle.com]

On the other hand, the USPS does issue its own Eid stamp. However, it first started doing so in 2002, back in the early years of the Bush administration: [link to web.archive.org]

I should have done some more checking on this before posting it and apologize for any misunderstanding referring to O.

According to Snopes: Mixture of True and False Information

True: A U.S. postage stamp commemorates the Islamic holidays of Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Adha.

False: President Obama directed the issuance of the above-referenced stamp.
The truth is incontrovertible. Malice may attack it, ignorance may deride it, but in the end, there it is.

Well who the fuck did authorize this, and I guarantee Obama's not going to de-authorize it...

Does this mean the people who pointed this stamp was a custom one from zazzle.com early in the thread and were promptly banned will get reinstated now?
