How about this. Divide the US, not as if we were not already divided. But lets just go ahead and set it in stone and set boundaries what the hell. I do not care how it is done, north/south, east/west, whatever.

On one side of the line we have the status quo people. On the other side we have the Constitution. Really simple, then people just move to whichever side they agree with.

you can only DEPORT aliens, citizens of other countries within your borders

The Constitution doesn't mention secession, one way or the other.

You're thinking of the Declaration of Independence, a much earlier document whose spirit was somewhat contradicted by the Constitution. The Constitution brought under some control the raucous freedom inspired by the Declaration and the Articles of Confederation, and chained all the States to the national debt.

But I think the 9th Amendment allows States to secede, because the rest of the Constitution doesn't say they cannot.

That's what I do. No matter how much debt I have, I just keep creating more. Why not? If I can continue living very well off of other peoples money, why would I bother making it the hard way? That's just stupid!

Those online petitions can be started by anyone. Any troll or bored kid can make one and get a few signatures. Heck, I could start a petition to ban mac n cheese... Doesnt mean it'll pass. i live in alabama i would just about guarantee if you went door to door 90 percent of the people would vote not to have obama for president if they would take hand written signatures it would be a landside to have obama out which it wont never happen
