PETITION TO DEPORT SECESSION SIGNERS GROWING FAST!!!

"The Man Without a Country" is a short story by American writer Edward Everett Hale, first published anonymously in The Atlantic in December 1863.[1] It is the story of American Army lieutenant Philip Nolan, who renounces his country during a trial for treason and is consequently sentenced to spend the rest of his days at sea without so much as a word of news about the United States. Though the story is set in the early 19th century, it is an allegory about the upheaval of the American Civil War and was meant to promote the Union cause. It is also seen to be inspired by Clement Vallandingham, an anti-war pro-Confederate Ohio Democrat who – like Nolan – was exiled and expressed a disinterest in belonging to the United States.



Why was it writen?

As Hale had intended, the short story created substantial support for the US as a country, identifying the priority of the Union over the individual states, and thus pressuring readers to view Southern secession negatively. In so doing, he convinced many individuals to join, or at least support the North's effort to, as Abraham Lincoln put it, "preserve the Union."

Exactly, deport me to my home state? Yes that is what we want. And the petitions are asking to leave peacefully. I'm sure if people want it to get violent then that can easy be arranged.

im glad there is a kick them out of the union petition, it just means that they agree that we should leave. since they agree and we the people who want out agree then there shouldnt be any pissing and moaning

I just signed all the state secession petitions...

Go for it, give everyone back the money that they paid in taxes, medicare and social security and deport them. When that petition started, it made a mockery of the whole system of trying to peacefully voice concerns.

Why is everybody petitioning the White House to have their states secede? It's not like Obama even has the power to allow a state to secede, much less would he actually allow it, even if he could. If we're going to remove ourselves from the Union, we should be petitioning our state representatives/senators/governors. They're the ones who would actually make it happen.

Why don't we just start a petition for Obama to resign and maybe one asking for the real birth certificate and unsealing of records as well if he won't resign. While we are at it, we should start a petition banning executives from Goldman sachs or any other too big to fail corporations (past or present) from serving in a role that would present a conflict of interest (treasure secretary). Finally we could petition to have the top 5 political parties to receive public funding, and make it illegal for them to take private funding and outlaw SuperPacs.

Guess what? You will get some stupid lip service of what Obama will do instead. These are a joke. Start pressing your local/state government in mass, and maybe you will get some results. Screw the feds.
