A movement that initially consisted of a few citizens, but now is growing exponentially day-by-day to include twenty-three states, is underway for the States to secede from Barack Obama’s corrupt United States.

There is currently a story on The Blaze regarding this.

‘There Is No Right to Secede’: See the Alleged Letter Where Justice Scalia Shoots Down Idea of Leaving the Union
 Quoting: Angelic_Warrior

That is the Justice's opinion. In the end, it would be a declaration of Independence, not a request. Texas was a free Republic before it was a state and can always go back to that. This is why the Texas flag is the only one in the Union flown at the same height as the US flag. To top it off, kids in school not only say pledge of allegiance to the US flag, but to Texas as well.

United they stand ... Divided they fall
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 25327582

True enough, but...

We haven't been united in a very long time.

And we are/have fallen.

This talk of secession is just another manifestation of that.

Those petitions will only be used to round up the people who signed them - they will be deemed "undesirables and subversives". Remember the current administrations mantra of "never let a good crisis go to waste" - it wouldn't all all surprise me if the .gov was involved in setting up a lot of those petitions just to get the names.

my post from the other thread below

this came off the APFN...someone who contacted their legislator

On Tue, 11/13/12, brian f > wrote:
I just got off the phone with my State Legislator and we talked about all these petitions and how they wont work but are waking people up to the idea. He wants me to put together an email about how we are going to do this and what it should say.

so whats that tell you folks???

just like OWS - theres an infiltration here....tptb have been wanting an uprising and or riots here.

petitions such as this are bullshit - only a governor can auth to secede and your govs wont do it bc of federal money.

secession comes from the respective governor.

this is shit. just a bunch of revolutiontards using virtual pickets.

dont get caught up in it. do your homework.

The Break Up of the USA into Six Parts

Russian Professor Predicts the USA Disintegrates

About that professor: he used to be an analyst with the KGB, so pretty much "in the loop"

Igor Nikolaevich Panarin (Russian: И́горь Никола́е&#1074;ич Пана́рин, Russian pronunciation: [ˈiɡərʲ nʲɪkɐˈɫaɪvʲɪt͡&#597; pɐˈnarʲɪn]; born 30 October 1958)[1] is a Russian professor, academician, political scientist, writer, intelligence analyst, strategic forecaster,[5] ideologist,[6] and information warfare expert.[7] He is most notable for his hypothesis of possible disintegration of the USA into six parts in 2010, conceived by him as long ago as 1998 but which only gained world attention 10 years later.[8]

Prediction of the USA's collapse in 2010

In the summer of 1998, based on classified data about the state of the U.S. economy and society[34] supplied to him by fellow analysts at the Federal Agency of Government Communications and Information (FAPSI),[5]

Panarin forecast the probable disintegration of the USA into six parts in 2010 (at the end of June – start of July 2010, as he specified on 10 December 2008),[35] following a civil war triggered by mass immigration, economic decline, and moral degradation. He forecast financial and demographic changes provoking a political crisis in which wealthier states will withhold funds from the federal government, effectively seceding from the Union, leading to social unrest, civil war, national division, and intervention of foreign powers.[5]

Panarin sees the task of the world elite as not letting the USA follow the Yugoslavian model of disintegration; it is desirable that it follows the Czechoslovakian model of disintegration so that everything goes calmly and peacefully.[36]

In an interview with the Wall Street Journal in 2008, Panarin said:

"There's a 55-45% chance right now that disintegration will occur...One could rejoice in that process...But if we're talking reasonably, it's not the best scenario -- for Russia." Though Russia would become more powerful on the global stage, he says, its economy would suffer because it currently depends heavily on the dollar and on trade with the U.S."[37]

This hypothesis gained world attention a decade after its initial announcement due to the 2008 financial crisis and has been widely criticised since.[38][39]

BINGO we have a winner! I read that the petitions site was set up under Obammy's direction. Gives everybody the false impression that they "have a voice". Ultimately the only thing these governmental fucks will understand will be force, whether it be in the form of bullets or what. Do you seriously think this administration is going to let states pull out of the union, just because they want to?? FUCK NO. If any of these states is actually able to secede, I'll be the first one to move there because it's a GREAT idea. But I think it's a smokescreen, just to round up the "non-sheeple", those who are not going to "move along".

BUT, I don't know how they can track people down who have signed the petitions - it's first name and initial only. And a lot of those will be waiting with guns drawn. There's a good reason for the big surge in gun sales.

Sadly, I'm from Oregon, land of the insane. There is no hope in this state. Not a single Republican or conservative independent in a statewide seat. Yes, most of the landmass of the state has conservatives living on it. But we have Portlandia to deal with. (It's not just a tv show, they really are that insane.)

Let us Jettison the Portland metro area, and let them keep the name Oregon. Then the rest of the state that is a little less crazy, can become the state of Jefferson.

Then we can leave this God forsaken country and form our own.

You're all just gonna stay on GLP and all your other little forum sites TALKIN (typing)until it too late. And all we're gonna be able to say is, "I told you so."

Judge Napolitano: ‘Yes, states can secede’

It has been reported that the state of Texas has reached 25,000 signers in petitioning the federal government to secede from the union in which the federal government, namely the Obama administration must respond.

With the number of states and citizens signing petitions to secede have grown, questions have been raised as to whether or not such an action is legal.

Andrew Napolitano, a former New Jersey Superior Court Judge and political and senior judicial analyst for Fox News Channel stated that yes, it is very much legal.

Re: Is The USA Breaking Up? Petitions seeking approval to 'secede' now come from 47 states
This may be the only solution.

All of this is going to get very ugly and very brutal and
very violent.

Prepare yourselves in all your ways.

This dissolution of these united states is at hand.

You all know it.

You all feel it in your very soul.

You know there is no solution other.

May GOD help us against the evils that want to enslave us
and control us and modifiy us and kill us.

We are in a battle for our very lives.......forget about the
constitution or other such....

it is going to get way beyond that as that has already been
trashed to the status of toilet paper.

Good and honorable men are being trashed right and left

you have to realize this and if you don't then get out of the way.

I am a nobody that has no connections that has nothing other than intuition and logic and well rounded information input.

For those that don't you will be shocked to your very core
and most will not be able to either handle or deal with what is coming.

You very heads are going to be at stake.

Would you like to keep your head????????????????
