Today I called my internist for an appointment, and she is leaving also in January. I was warned back in March,I just hoped the election would change things. I have a headache now. This sucks. These were really good doctors too. "May the road rise up to meet you.... May the wind be always at your back..." Had to cancel a decent plan for a $12,000 per yr plan that is mostly major medical which means $5000.00 out of pocket for each incident like surg, major illness, etc... This is for 5 people with no major illness, no smoking policy. All within ht/wt range. One pre-existing condition isn't covered from a car wreck. We just have to make payments to the med facilities when needed ($200 month to surg center presently). We run a business and a farm. No employees and rarely a day off. Just thankful to have work. |

He has applied for disability. When he is finally approved for disability, there is a 2 year wait to get on medicare. So he will pay the fine. Problem is, since he has no income, whatever is in the bank after my puny check is deposited, will be confiscated by the government to pay the fine. My youngest daughter will be losing her insurance in 1 year, as she ages out of the policy. She is a full time college student. She gets to pay a fine too. |
