I took a screen shot in case they do as I bet they say the number was just turned around or some other lame excuse. |

Yahoo shilled the hardest for Obama possibly ever of all the media online so now they slip that number into this article so possible slip or what? From the article... Quoting: Anonymous Coward 13363335 "Unemployment numbers only tell one side of the story: Nationwide unemployment sits at 9.7 percent" [link to news.yahoo.com] do not be fool enough to fall for their numbers game...they only count people actually receiving unemployment...this does NOT take into account all those who no longer qualify, who still have not found a job. the economy is fucked up...stop thinking a president is going to some how make you a job out of some laws on paper....if the demand for the job is not there, then guess what, there is no job...and with more and more people losing jobs and income, they cant afford to keep this ill conceived system afloat. |

Fall for the numbers game? Ummm I figure it's actually around 15-20%. I just found it funny they are either admitting it in articles on the front page of yahoo now. |

Yeah, 7.9% and the sudden jobs miracle just before the election anyone who questioned how we suddenly dropped 2% in unemployment was called a radical nutcase now the truth is coming out on a range of topics, from the fiscal cliff, to unemployment what a difference a week makes |

To understand how unemployment truly impacts everyday citizens, Yahoo News is inviting unemployed workers, or those who consider themselves severely underemployed, to share their stories of looking for work. If you are currently unemployed and are looking for work in your career field, we'd like to hear from you. Here are a couple ways you can participate in our project: 1) Email us at [email protected]. In your message, please include: Your name and where you live How long you've been unemployed and how long you've been looking for work What career or field you work in A brief description of your job hunt If we think your story fits our project, we'll contact you for more information. 2) Write your story via Yahoo! Contributor Network. Learn more about how you can share your story with Yahoo News readers. They get paid about $4 an article to put together "news" for their news page. I should know because I use to be one of them. No fact checking is done and you could spin lies upon lies as long as you grammar was good. Stick to bonafide news sources and not bloggers and stay at home moms. |
