I've seen them at a few festivals and when they play the crowd goes insane!! Like it's not a few pits, the entire crowd is crazy..

But they are one of the few bands where each of their albums is on par with the last or better. I give them a lot of credit.

Lol this is funny, Between the Buried and Me, is in fact super progressive alternative metal! Some songs contain more metal in them than most of these WHOLE albums. Consider the average BTBAM song is 8 minutes long of nastiness and some alternative noises. But the metal is metal.

Actually, those bands are "metal". The metal genre is a top tier genre. There are many sub-genres that fall underneath it. For instance, all the death metal videos you posted. They are considered death metal, but still fall under the umbrella of "metal".

Just because AILD and Between the Buried and Me don't sound like Six Feet Under doesn't make them not metal; It might in your eyes, but you have accept the fact that there are more genres of metal. They might not be death metal that's totally true, but they certainly are metal.

Suicide Silence sucks

I use to be a big heavy metal listener but then I got on to the ascension path and now it only makes me want to puke to listen to it. Its so lower vibrational.

I agree with you, but the simple fact of the matter is metal is supposed to be fucking beastly, gnarly ass shit. Evil, down tuned guitars, blast beats, off tempo, abrupt timing, etc. My favorite genres are goregrind, which is pretty much death metal crossed with grindcore, or old school death metal, like cannibal corpse, gorguts, etc. Not knocking most metal, but I cant stand screamo as i lay dying bullshit. i can almost gaurantee that the kid who posted that wears skinny jeans, goes to shows, and is under 25.

Ugh, this thread has turned into a "youtube comment section" where everyone thinks what they think is the "real (insert genre) music" is, is the absolute truth...

while you monkeys argue over labels, ill enjoy btbam because it sounds good to me.
