Why are you trying to awaken the Kundalini? For that matter, what is the Kundalini?

Re: The Kundalini: A thread for the rest of us (?)
I have been doing daily meditations for about 11 months. I have noticed differences in my day to day life.

This past weekend, I started seeing different colored lights in all sorts of varying patterns in my third eye area. It was very intense. I felt transported to a different place. On Saturday, it only lasted a few minutes (I think). On Sunday, I focused my attention there more and just with that focus, the lights started up again. It was effortless and wonderful. For the first time, I feel that there is definitely more to the world that what I 'see' with my regular eyes.

I see you are curiouslyinterested. Kundalini is the most powerful energy in the universe and its stuck in the mudlahara chakra at the base of the spine.

If you awake the kundalini you will feel perfect bliss the rest of your life.

I hate to bring it up, because someone will accuse me of trying to sell something. I use centerpointe products. Yes it costs money. No I don't sell it. I have tried meditation on and off for 2 decades, but I could never still my mind for any length of time. These CDs do the trick for me.

It does not just kick in and stay that way. It depends really. It can fluctuate, depending on your state of mind. Try taking a look at this..

Thread: A Neither Person and the art of meditation/prayer. Updated for the spiritually awakening individuals.

The Mer Ka Bah meditation will change your life.

Call the kundalini down from above, and then it will enter you.. It helps too if you give it a face. Opposite sex.

Done right, youll notice a sparkly, purple and blue curtain shimmering and sparkling in front of you, Youll be at urge to touch it and you can walk thru it. This was foreshadowed in the purple and blue tabernacle curtain that separated the Holy of Holies.

keep working with pranayama, esp alternate nostril breathing

read the books by Gopi Krishna and his editor Gene Kieffer

also use hemi-sync brainwave entrainment

in fact, there was a very good book written by a PhD on using BWE to raise Kundalini

Yes, it comes down from above first into your dimension/world and then up the spine.

Been doing it for years myself.
Best advice i can give, is:

- Confront those negative thought patterns and experiences, consciously confront them and release them. Jealousy, negative behavior significantly inhibit your progression.

- Keep a clean vehicle, only eat from the earth.

- Keep a high vibration, meditate daily. dancing, music etc.

- Stop seeking results, let go of expectations.

- Keep up your meditation and pranayama.

- Work on cleansing your chakras. Once you begin to feel the tingling energy, direct it to each chakra until you feel it gaining size, rotating or pulsating. This varies in time. when all have been pumped full of energy you should have direct contact with source and you will be hooked for life.

- Sacred plants will help you connect to the source and will guide you if you truly seek spiritual development.
