I dunno, the Ron Paul/Republican fiasco could fit, the Ron Paul camp certainly tried to portray this audio clip that way. The main thing that gives me pause on that is that you can plainly here him talking about the "Election" and he seems to be referring to the general election, and what sounds like "Mitt" will fade away into obscurity...

But anything is possible, I leave it up to you to decide. Looked like a find to me, but perhaps I'm not the first explorer on the scene...

Man I usually agree with you but I didn't hear anything about fading into obscurity or whatever. I did hear this during the Republican primary and it was attributed to the fucking Ron Paul got by the party and the media.

They successfully made paul out to be a nut. They were scared of the support he was gaining and the idea of freedom and liberty and the end of the Federal Reserve.

Ron Paul aside, Romney was leading in those polls pretty hard by then
