Instead of state secession, how about DC Federal Secession?

Just read the thread about states leaving the union.

Better solution would be for the federal union to leave the states and just govern itself and all of DC.

Of course, no money from the rest of us.

Then the 50 states can form another union based on the very same constitution but without the miles and miles of federal laws that either are out of date or are so burdensome and badly written that no one understands them.

We could also decide to add on a balanced budget amendment and a simple flat rate income tax on all individuals, corporations and even non-profits since so many of the non-profits spend so much of their money on things other than the intended causes.

We could also redefine citizenship by birth to mean only if one of the parents is a citizen which is what most countries do.
