Played for a fool twice by the same guy. Am I stupid, or am I stupid?
Met someone a few years ago, and he was the first and only person I have ever felt a strong connection with....He texted constantly, took me out, and told me all the things women need/like to hear. Turns out he was in a committed relationship with another woman. The whole time I had no idea. I dropped him immediately, and we didn't have contact for over a year.

He reached out to me after some time, and we were friends for a good long while until he found out I had been casually dating someone. He was distant and indifferent, then a jerk, then said he wished it was him. Just when I was starting to reciprocate and about let him back in beyond friendship he pulled a disappearing act. Haven't heard a damn thing from him since....

Conclusion: Yes, I must be stupid.

Ignore the assholes. the'll bitch at a woman if she has feelings, and the'll bitch if she doesn't.

Just realize your "connection" is probably more odpf a biological response than anything. Clearly its not a healthy emotional, mental or spiritual relationship. So just observe objectively this "connection" and let it go. Its not him you love.

Sorry you're going through this

Reconsider why you're attracted to the people you are attracted to. Women tend to fall for words. Words are meaningless without character shown by action. Men tend to be better judges of other men. Get the opinion of your relatives or male friends. Pay attention to how men relate to their friends.

Finally, reconsider any of your male "friends." Have you put them into the friend zone? Why not take them out? If you can't be attracted to men who are kind and good to you then isn't it no surprise that you only have men who treat you like dirt? Don't fall for emotions only based relationship. Don't mistake communication for intimacy.
