Absolutely not. They are too far up and seem to be somewhat stationary or move really slow.. I saw a plane fly to the SW of the multicolored one, the plane was lower than it was but they are closer than stars.

I didn't check it myself but someone said, I think it was on a video today, that there was a near earth object coming close today, the 14??

go videotape it! get pictures quick!

From the south. I see Venus overhead as a big bright object. and to the southeast i see Sirius the dog star.

I have no way of taking a picture, hoping someone else in my neck of the woods would be able to, all I have is binaculars. All I can say is the colors on the one object are spectacular. Sorry.

Because post-space race astronomy education at primary school levels is a friggen joke in the US. Education in general is probably being dumbed down, but I encounter the results of poor astronomy education most often simply because that's where I'm most involved with the public.

That is because its a plasma light ship and not a star. I was given a demo along with a friend on night on that one, because it moved hugely quite a distance and then back again to this original spot. And our very own Dr. Astromut here could not resolve a clear picture of it because its not a star that is many light years away (8+ I think it is claimed).

Wrong.

Stop lying about me. I got a perfectly clear picture of it. Right there. Not much to see, it's just a star.

That is Sirius as to the bright one, and see my post above, because its NOT a star. I was cold, and didn't stay out long enough to study south east which would require me to walk a ways because of trees etc.

I am not lying about you. I am talking about the pic you took with the glp scopes. It is not just a star. I watched it MOVE along with a friend (who was in another state, Arizona at the time, we were talking on our cell phones), 1/2 the distance to the small star to the right of it. Right now they are both about horizontal to each other here at 2:20 am in Colorado. Then it moved back again. That is quite a large distance to move in perspective. It is a plasma light ship. That is what they look like, the pic you took with the glp scope. Not the one above.

If I was on my old computer, where I have YOUR image stored, I would upload it here. And Sirius is not the only plasma light ship up there.

Venus is never overhead. Sirius is more overhead, east of Orion's belt.

For being as educated as you are in astronomy, I find it odd that you still bother responding to people that call a "well known" star a "plasma space ship" lol. It must be for your entertainment value at this point to bother haha.

It's actually Jupiter not venus.

If AstroNuts is commenting, I better go o/s and look at the dubunked phenomenon. Too bad it's so cloudy here in Microsoft country to get an appreciable glance.

I also deliberately over-exposed it in another picture to prove that it IS just a star and you get all worked up whenever someone over-exposes a star!

That lens flaring shit is just a result of over-exposure. It's just a star! You just lied and claimed I couldn't get a clear picture of it because it's not a star. Yes, I can, and yes, I did!


The one I took with the GLP scope I deliberately over-exposed. You lied just now in claiming that I could not get a clear picture of it. Yes, I can, by not over-exposing it. Same thing I did here with a telescope identical in size to the GLP telescope:

And deliberately over exposing sirius was not what I recall as to your story then. You stated you could not focus it, too bright or something to that effect.
