Can we now stop the bashing tards? Debt problem is a worldwide phenomenon ffs, the euro just helped this bubble to blow earlier, while both of north and south Europeans are being sucked dry by the same Brussels banksters until this happens, everyone will be affected, everyone who doesn't think so needs a check and medicine and stop living in a bubble-dream.
 Quoting: insertfunnyusername

Debt problem is actually fairly recent in the USA. I remember during Clinton's administration we were in "danger" of paying off the national debt. Clinton actually went on TV and explained that he was reversing policy and would now seek to run deficits rather than surpluses, because if we extinguished much more debt the 30 year US Treasury bond market would be adversely affected.

I kid you not. He said that, and my jaw dropped watching the speech live. And then he did it.

And that was the beginning of the slide into destruction for the USA economy.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 27304459

Scary and i'm sure your are not kidding me, this though was not the beginning of destruction of only the US economy, dollar is the world's currency, everyone is affected if US economy have problems, but our eurocrats in Brussels wanted to bring the collapse sooner by installing a currency that every fucking economist on earth at that time said it's problematic while at the same time they looting Europeans in daylight for their agenda. It's super fucking retarded to say that 150 million people are lazy and have mentality issues, seriously everyone still parroting this BS from their MSM after 3-4 years of crisis is a sheep of unimaginable proportions, problem lies elsewhere ffs, get off your high horses, whole Europe will go down eventually, stop parroting sheepy agenda.

I am not promoting anything ... but if you think the many manipulations practiced over many countries by the founders of the CEE (and corresponding powers that be) have not at last be fully understood by thousands in those countries, you better get acquainted with being wrong ... it is in YOUR interest. I'm fairly well aware of the manipulations. I was following this in 1997. After trying over and over to implement the euro, and having it not "take" repeatedly because the idea is frankly ridiculous, suddenly the southern countries were able to agree to terms.

We now know that some mismarked derivatives had something to that. Not really covering up the facts, but allowing an excuse for willful blindness by those able to make the decisions.

This whole thing was never put to a popular vote except in Ireland, where they revoted because the people didn't see the light the first time.

Don't feed the trolls.

American's and Canadians talk about changing things. Then we sit back and watch how real people go about making change.

If America could unite, in force, on just ONE single issue like they do in Europe - stand up and march in the streets everywhere, then perhaps something in America would change.
 Quoting: Éireann

OWS was more ambitious than this in a way, they actually occupied space for an extended period. But it's fizzled.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 27304459

Thank goodness, in this case. OWS was misguided and infiltrated to the core. Now if just plain old Americans had gotten together back in 2008 before all of that TARP shit started, THEN maybe some real change would have happened on Wall Street and in the Banks. Bitching at the Bankers wasn't the way. Congress was the way and we should have all been standing there.
 Quoting: Éireann

If you mean, before the markets crashed, I'm not sure how an intervention could have worked even then. Bernanke was doing a series of moves from the Fed that were helpful to the banks, each one unpredictable and unprecedented by the Fed. As you know, the Fed is substantially independent from the political process.

Lots of people could see that shit was getting weird, enough to make a difference, but I think opportunities for peaceful change were carefully removed all along the way.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 27304459

Um. The markets did crash in 2008.

But you're right. People were in such a mad dash that once again, just like 9/11, people panicked and said, "Oh Federal Government! Save us!". But after the people started realizing what was going on, they should have showed up at Congress on mass. Oh well :(

Nothing reported here about strikes.

I wished the middleclass and the lower class would unite and overthrow the elie establishent, i.e. banksters and CEO's.

Sadly divide and conquer tactics working well, setting up the northern population against the south.

People need to organize, infiltrate institutions and unmask and eliminate the evildo-ers.

Corporatism is the same as nazism and fascism. It's inhumane and seeks to dehumanize people.

France and Germany are big countries but their land is NOT SUITABLE for intensive agriculture or feed huge heards of cows. The north is TOO COLD to do that.

They can produce some food, to feed about 60 mil people/year.However, they kinda have like 150 mil people alltogheter? If they need to FEED their whole population, they need INTENSIVE agriculture which they CANNOT because their land is NOT THAT GOOD.

Germany produces enough food since decades.

On this chart, who represent cereal production :

-Germany is #119, with 92,000 metric tons.
-France is #86, with 105,000 metric tons.
-Spain #74, with 109,000 metric tons.
-Italy, #94, with 101,000 metric tons.
-Greece, #91, with 102,000 metric tons.
-Ireland, #78, with 107,000 metric tons.

-Germany produces 92,000 metric tons, have a population of over 81 million and 357,000 square km.
-France produces 101,000 metric tons, have a population of 60 million and 643,000 sruare km.
-Ireland produces 101,000 metric tons, have a population of 4,5 million and 70,000 square km.

Is this ENOUGH proof that the land in Germany and France is NOT suitable for INTENSIVE agriculture?

In terms of production/habitant or production/square km., Germany + France are DWARFED by Ireland + Greece and are crap compred to Spain + Italy.

I am not saying that France or Germany are not producing food...I am saying that they CANNOT FEED THEIR OWN people (unless heavily importing from the south and eastern EU) because their LAND is not good enough to do so.

How much of the land are they using for agriculture anyway? It's not like any European country uses their full potential, heck not even Finland and our growing season is short and arable land is scarce. It's just not that profitable in Europe. And it seems we're above Germany in that list you provided. Lol. Doesn't seem too good indicator for how much agricultural output Germany or France can have.

Actually, no.

You take only cereals in account, and France and Germany do only import agriculture products that can't be grown there, and products that are way cheaper abroad and they can't compete with (especially the Asian countries).

But when needed, the fertile soil in these countries is perfectly useful for intensive agriculture.

It's just economical wise not interesting, apart from grain, milk and meat.

Only Real Men can with safety destroy the tangled forests and wilderness of Earth and make from them gardens, but will those who inherit the gardens be Real Men? The law decrees that they must be, or the wilderness will reclaim its own.”

 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 972619

The whole discussion started because the south have MUCH MORE resources than the north.I was merely pointed the FOOD domain only.

Germany and France are URBANIZED and INDUSTRIALIZED countries.Their agriculture land is poor and they pretty much cultivate all the land they CAN CULTIVATE.They had nothing more left, because much of what was agricultural land 50 years ago, is now occupied with cities, industries, roads.

They need to BULDOZE alot in order to have MORE land to cultivate...as opposite to the tiny countries of Greece and Ireland.

You cannot just dismiss the data by just telling:
"But when needed, the fertile soil in these countries is perfectly useful for intensive agriculture."

There is no more land left, fertile or not, in France and Germany (especially Germany).

Ireland and Greece have togheter a population of 15 million, while France and Germany have 140 million togheter...their cereal production is almost the same, escept almost 10 TIMES MORE people AND also 10 times more LAND.

Yes, it is "only" cereal, but those cereals represent BOTH food for humans AND food for animals, animals that will also become food for humans.

15 million people living on 150,000 square km. are producing same quantity of cereals (aka food) as 140 million people living on 1,200,000 square km.

This are the facts when we talk about who will starve first if the South goes down and STOP exporting food and food related products. And not some sci-fi beleiefs that France and Germany have some fertile land that they don't use...

but more and more i see things differently these days

we are all being shafted. its right before your eyes - people are being beaten by the police for protesting against the state

we are criminals
