it s not going to happen... what you see here is an experiment... will the people of this country find other (peaceful) means of dealing with the crisis (throw bankers out, do it the Icelad-way, etc)? if so they will be let go, because the experiment failed... or will they be pushed into a civil-war through rioting and other atrocities, so the "system" has to "intervene" ( which is THEIR desired outcome)

And they're going to continue in an endless depression until they remove themselves from the Eurozone (where they plainly don't fit), kick the bankers out of their country (like Iceland did), and make headway on putting people to work for someone other than the government...

Point in fact countries that control their own currencies (the US and the UK to name two) can never go bankrupt. They can pay off their debts at any time. Indeed, they only borrow simply to provide risk-free assets to capital markets.

The Germans are quite right that monetization has destroyed their economy in the past. During World War II, Federal Reserve monetization helped fund the war effort of our military and (via lend-lease) those of our British and Russian allies. And we used that money to collectively kick the crap out of Germany, no matter they hate it!
