I've been alive for 55 years. For most of my life I looked around the world and saw one military coup after another in country after country. And I always wondered if it would ever be possible here in the gool old USA. And I would answer no, it wouldn't happen here because the USA was different, our military was run by civilians and military personnel took their subjugation to civilian authority very seriously. In fact on my many visits to West Point I was astounded at the deference to my civilian status that the cadets and active military showed me.

Today, I am not so sure that a military coup couldn't happen here. And frankly I don't know how I feel about that.

One thought is that he delayed this til after the election because he thought it would be unpopular and could cost him the election. I don't think it's quite that.

More like, he was forced to cheat in the vote-counting in the election, because actually he lost and had to do obvious cheating to make the count come up in his favor. Now he is more afraid of a military coup because he lacks legitimacy -- everyone knows Romney actually won. Therefore he has to weaken the independent abilities of the military.

That, and/or there's some really heavy shit involving Benghazi that is being hidden, and it's so big that TPTB (above Presidential level) jiggered the vote counts to keep Obama in because this secret just could not be permitted to come out.

Part of me thinks that it is too coincidental that all of these high ranking, high office officials are being forced to step down or resign..............BUT................

The other part of me thinks that it could be as simple as the Administration held off on all of these scandals until AFTER the election. If all of this dribbled out prior to the election, Obama may not have one. So we are getting ALL of this ALL at once.

All of this scandal would have taken his time away from campaigning. Just as telling us about Benghazi would have. Benghazi may have very well cost him the election IF THE MSM did their jobs and reported news WITHOUT bias.
