OK folks this is a serious question... I'm not here to bash anyones faith or beliefs. but what if??.... bible talks about principalities and various levels of hierarchy. Now what if Jehova/Jesus and Lucifer/Satan not the highest on that hierarchy. What if their are others higher than that?....Where would that leave us as humans stuck in the middle of this fight?? I await serious replies to this.

Re: Christians: Could We Be Farther Along in Revelation Then We Thought?
Morning Lisa! I love reading your posts first off, but I think the link you posted about Bible meanings is something to be careful of.

I say this because in just the few paragraphs I read it is nearly impossible to understand the Bible in it's entirety, if it is all metaphors. The Bible speaks of not changing the words, not even one because it is Deuteronomy 4:2 “You shall not add to the word which I command you, nor take anything from it”(also Deuteronomy 12:32). The reason God is so adamant on this is because “The entirety of Your word is truth” (Psalms 119: 160).

If we look at the context it says “Every word of God.” God is stating for MAN not to add to his words. Adding does not only mean additional words, but can also mean changing them to mean what they do not. When you add new words as equal to Scripture you are really taking away from Scripture.

In the book of Revelation which is prophecy completes the Bible, just as Genesis began the Bible, it states "For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this Book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this Book: And if any man shall take away from the words of the Book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the Book of Life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this Book" Revelation 22:18-19.

I am no Biblical scholar and the above comes from the link listed here. [link to www.letusreason.org]

Just be careful my friend and anyone else reading this. It is also said in the Bible that there will be many false prophets in the end times. Don't let someone confuse the truth you know. Also, for there to be an Anti-Christ, there has to be a war or rumors of war for him to prevent so he may be idolized and worshipped. Then we will know and see the AC. We are witnessing the fact that we are very near war this very day. Israel and the Palestines, Iran they are closer today than ever to war.

At the very least, to become a Christian one only needs to ask our Heavenly Father for forgiveness for our sins and acknowledge Jesus, the Son of God, and that he was sent to die on the cross for our sins.

Though it may be hard to understand the rest of the Bible, if a person does the above they can have comfort in knowing that God will/has forgiven them and they too can live life eternal in heaven when this life is done.

Again I admire you Lisa, and love that you spread love and knowledge about God and Jesus here where there are many who need to know about them. We may not see eye to eye but the foundation is firm where we both stand and agree! Your awesome to bring Christian ideas to light here despite the negative remarks said. You are strong- and I pray that God will guide us both in the way he intended for us.

There are hierarchies, yes, but there are also paradigms.

We are stuck in this paradigm.

For example, a Hamster is in a cage of glass...a created environment controlled by superior being who cleans the cage, stocks it, decorates it and oversees it's life.

Maybe there's more than one superior being who takes care of the hamster, and maybe one of those beings also likes to come in when nobody is looking and torture the hamster.

But beyond the walls of the house that contains the hamster and it's cage are not only more people with more hamster cages, but free-range hamsters, gerbils, guinna pigs not to mention Humans who don't believe in caging animals, PETA and the freaking Petsmart store where any Hamster would love to go and have the biggest, most comfy cage ever stocked with every manner of a Hamster's hearts content.

None of that shit matters to the hamster in the cage in little Billy's bedroom. He's in that paradigm and no other, regardless of what may or may not exist.

Thank you for sharing that wisdom. We absolutely do have to be careful and cautious.

But, at the same time, we know that some things are literal and some are symbolic. But, with all things we should pray for the understanding and interpretation of these things.

Well, we know that the bible tells us that "Jehova/Jesus" is God, and "Lucifer/Satan" is the enemy.

I believe there is enough evidence to support this. In fact, there is nothing anyone could say to make me believe otherwise because I've experienced supernatural things that back this up 100%, and so have millions or billions of other people over the years.

That's not what I'm saying at all, though. I'm saying we're the hamster in the cage, and all we've got is little Billy and his tormenting brother.

Looking beyond the cage does us absolutely no good whatsoever. We can look all we want, but it doesn't change our limited paradigm.

Jesus/God and Satan. That's what we've got to work with here and now.

lol.....oh ok, I sort of get it now.

Well, yes that's what we have to work with, and I truly believe that's what is real and the truth and there is no more out there. I honestly believe that.

Jesus/Jehovah created the universe and is God, there is nobody or nothing above God.

Satan was a created being, an angel that turned bad, and he wants to destroy us because he knows he's going to be destroyed.

A good christian friend of mine told me the other day that we are at the 6th trump already, waiting for the 7th to blow.

She said that many of the things that we were waiting for have already happened in the spiritual realm, while we were waiting for them to appear in the physical realm.

I suppose this could be true, I don't know either way.

What's your thoughts on this?

No trumpets have sounded yet, they start at about mid-trib and the seventh trumpet appears alittle after mid-trib. the catching up takes place at the last trump immediately after the trib, so don`t fall away at the seventh because we have to wait for the eighth final trumpet, read matt24 v29-31.

Right, but terrible things have been happening for the last few years on a pretty big scale.

Might we already be half way through the tribulation now?

Maybe.....

Here's the verse that gets me wondering about it Matthew 24:38-39 "For in the days before the flood, people were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, up to the day Noah entered the ark; and they knew nothing about what would happen until the flood came and took them all away. That is how it will be at the coming of the Son of Man."

Maybe it's not going to be as obvious as we thought it was going to be?

I don't know, just throwing it out there. It it was world wide disaster as never before, would people be eating and drinking and getting married, like life as usual?

and then 2 Peter 3:3-4 "First of all, you must understand that in the last days scoffers will come, scoffing and following their own evil desires. They will say, "Where is this 'coming' he promised? Ever since our fathers died, everything goes on as it has since the beginning of creation."

I feel that we will not know or understand all the signs when they are happening, as we would have to be of a privileged rank in this world to be at the top where a lot of those things are more evident. Some of the more widespread signs will be obvious to us, others not so easily known. The world certainly is in upheaval on all fronts, that's for sure.

I frimly believe that all the trumpets are released DURING the tribulation period. I'm open to suggestions but I don't see how anyone could argue that even of the seals have been opened yet. A "third of the trees havn't been burn't up yet" "A third part of the sea is not blood yet" and we havn't had any comet fragments ruin any part of earth yet. I don't think the judgements neccesarily come in order either because IMHO th 5th trumpet has alrady sounded and yes the 6th trumpet with the four horsemen killing 1/4 of mankind (most likely world war 3) is very near.

Hopefully we are raptured before the real chaos begins.

Right, but what if those events are spiritual in nature and not physical. See what I'm saying?

The great tribulation will be unprecedented in terms of suffering pain etc.
Yes there is the everyday sorrow that happens because of sin, but I feel like we would KNOW if we have entered this time period. How are people thinking we are already halfway through it?

Just my thinking, things are looking like it could kick off beginning 2013, which would mean the Lord would come back 2020, which seems a fitting year, because of the "clear vision" connotation.
Just a guess of course.
But I honestly feel that such sorrow would be unmatched through any period ever in history.... Ever! And I just don't feel if that is the case....yet. With all the hype of the end of 2012 coming from all angles, I can't help but think Satan has something planned... Of course none greater than the Almighty :)

I reckon the trumpets are happening in the spiritual realm, here's why;

First of all, christ said he shall come as a thief, without warning.

Also the bible states that just as in the days of Noah's flood, people will be marrying and giving in marriage, eating, drinking. Just going about their daily lives...then, WALLOP!

As lightning flashes from the east across to the west, so shall the coming of the son of the man be.
