Re: Christians: Could We Be Farther Along in Revelation Then We Thought?
I recall reading that a false tribulation would precede the real one.

As another pointed out, trees and seas still fairly fine.
 Quoting: Lada D

Right, but my point is that maybe revelation isn't talking about literal trees and seas.

Like the stars in revelation are talking about spiritual beings. Obviously, not a literal star.

Look: Revelation 9:1-2 "The fifth angel sounded his trumpet, and I saw a star that had fallen from the sky to the earth. The star was given the key to the shaft of the Abyss. When he opened the Abyss, smoke rose from it like the smoke from a gigantic furnace. The sun and sky were darkened by the smoke from the Abyss."

Revelation also talks about the Lampstands and Fig tree, which are people, not literal trees and lampstands.

Also "sea" means something entirely different then the oceans, look [link to www.biblemeanings.info]
 Quoting: Lisa*Lisa

Jesus also said He saw Lucifer cast out of heaven - AS A STAR CAST DOWN. I always took this verse to mean this was when Satan was cast out of heaven. The "star" (Lucifer) was given the key of the shaft of the Abyss (hell). See where I'm going with this?

It sounds like a spiritual event.

When Jesus went down into hell, HE TOOK THOSE KEYS BACK. It's already happened!

I am at lunch from work, so can't go into much else right now, but this thread is very interesting, and I will revisit it later this evening.

A good christian friend of mine told me the other day that we are at the 6th trump already, waiting for the 7th to blow.

She said that many of the things that we were waiting for have already happened in the spiritual realm, while we were waiting for them to appear in the physical realm.

I suppose this could be true, I don't know either way.

What's your thoughts on this?

I find it just amusing. Imagine there is a shaman in the djungle who say that the religion of his small tribe is the only true religion on earth. Would you not laugh about him and his density?
In the same way I see christians on earth ... just savages in the djungle of the stars.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 13137091

4.7 billion + 2.2 billion = God's people (if He exists)

For that 4.7 billion, this is the event going to happen soon.
 Quoting: OldmanO

Again: If 2.2 billion people say "Our book is right" and other 4.7 billion people say "No, our books are right", from where will you know who is right? Is it written in the sky, or on a stone who is right? Show me that stone, show me that part of the sky where that is written.
I can imagine there is maybe a real enourmous religion out in the universe, containing dozens of space-travelling races with maybe 500 billions believers of the SAME religion.
What will you tell them if we one day meet them? Would you say "You 500 billion believers are all wrong, only our Jesus is the true saviour".
Can you imagine their roars of laughter if you say this?
I can and this would be one of the most awkward moments in mankinds history.

hahahahahah got to be kidding me. People sit around and follow a book (and other thingss) STILL in this and age?

This planet is screwed and has no chance of evolving if people continue to be so brainwashed. In my humble opinion.

When will humans take FULL responsibility for EVERYTHING on this planet. It is all OUR fault when it is all said and done.
No devils or evil ones to blame it is THE HUMAN RACE at fault and it is time enough they get rid of evil/beings.entities as scape goats for what they are doing to THEMSELVES.

There is so such god as religion states But the universe itself AND YOU. You are doing this to your own self. You must learn you must understand. Waiting for KEY events to happen said and said(by w.e prophet or w/e book LOL) ...is a STUPID way to live in my humble opnion<---

Oh the book says things are going to change ...*sits and WAIT for change? The book says to shake my right foot..(does what books says) OOOK?

What kind of life is that? Do you people even exist in the day in the moment? Do you just sit read a book and wait for what the book says to happen or do out go out and MAKE things happen?(and life your own damn existence) Are you capable of your OWN thought anymore OR AT ALL? Do yo always need a BOOK to TELL YOU? Why the heck do you even exist? Just place the almighty book down and let it live life. You just sit aside and wait for orders from it? LOL
WHat is this madness?

Whoever says that a rapture will not take place you are definately mistaken. The rapture has taken place 3 times as of yet the.

1 Noah and the animals on the ark when the flood

2 Moses with the people fleeing from egypt

3 When Jesus Christ died went into the heart of Hell to take
out those that who were his servants

4 will be us from the tribulation

These events I believe each time has been bc of this Nibiru creating a pole shift and other anomalies

To those who think Nibiru is not part of this you are wrong

read the opening of the seals and see where it says that the sun will be blackened and the moon blood red, If you read carefully it gives in exact details about this pole shift and fire from the sky and so on

Re: Christians: Could We Be Farther Along in Revelation Then We Thought?
Well, Christianity will outrule other religions simply because God doesn't answer to your statistical probabilities.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 15676325

Why should a fairly god ignore 4.7 billion people and give only 2.2 billion people the benefit? It goes even further: There are probably trillions of trillions intelligent lifeforms in the universe, and they have billions of religions with billions of books like the bible. So the probability that christianity is right is in fact only 0.000000000000000000000000000001 %

Why are you so concerned about it all if you don't believe?
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 15676325

I find it just amusing. Imagine there is a shaman in the djungle who say that the religion of his small tribe is the only true religion on earth. Would you not laugh about him and his density?
In the same way I see christians on earth ... just savages in the djungle of the stars.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 13137091

But the difference between the "savages in the jungle" and christians is that God promises He will "pour out His Spirit on all men" and give everyone an opportunity to come to Him and be saved.

Doesn't matter what "religion" or belief system you have, you are aware of a Creator, a God who created all we see and experience. Stories have been told of peoples of every other "religion" who come away from their faith when encountered with the truths of God and the Bible.

So, I suspect we will be amazed by how many people - that we will think could *never* become christians - who will be in heaven one day.

the vials are being tipped. We are at the point where the 7 seals are all opened.People dont accept this because they dont understand Scripture.
EG if a person STILL believes the nonsense that "satan will walk in a temple in israel and proclaim himself to be God ....." then nothing will convince them.
False teachers have told the people they dont need to worry yet.
Next year is the MIDDLE of Daniel's LAST week.
But they reject this because they accept galse teachings.

Yes,
As a thief in the night is a huge clue. I have already been sealed since 2007, with a new name and white stone, and have been announcing this since then, but noone even listened. I have no reason to lie, or gain a thing from saying this. I have said about Gabriel's horn. This is also secret and as a thief, meaning judgement comes from within the person before a spiritual death and resurrection to life. Truly Born Again.

Got pure evil? You'll be soaking in it soon. Your messiah is preparing you to accept him, and you will.

I frimly believe that all the trumpets are released DURING the tribulation period. I'm open to suggestions but I don't see how anyone could argue that even of the seals have been opened yet. A "third of the trees havn't been burn't up yet" "A third part of the sea is not blood yet" and we havn't had any comet fragments ruin any part of earth yet. I don't think the judgements neccesarily come in order either because IMHO th 5th trumpet has alrady sounded and yes the 6th trumpet with the four horsemen killing 1/4 of mankind (most likely world war 3) is very near.

Hopefully we are raptured before the real chaos begins.

You're wrong, I believe in god, but I don't believe any of the religions, neither a religion on earth, nor any other possible religion out in space. They are all wrong. There is only one true religion ... this what your heart say to you what's right and what's wrong. And I don't need priests or shamans or saviours or churches to understand the words of the true religion of the heart.
I also think god is not really pure good. He made us like him, and we all have a good side and a bad side. If god made us like him, he must have a bad side too. Therefore I do not pray or kiss his ass like believers of religions do. And guess what: I think he likes my style way more than your style (what does not mean that he likes me more than you). Think about this when you are next time will be arrogant about 4.3 billion people who don't belive what you believe.

...

Sorry..........the above is referring to the woman in Rev 17

The woman from Rev 12 is Israel.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 27748702

"A great sign appeared in heaven: a woman clothed with the sun, with the moon under her feet and a crown of twelve stars on her head. She was pregnant and cried out in pain as she was about to give birth. Then another sign appeared in heaven: an enormous red dragon with seven heads and ten horns and seven crowns on its heads. Its tail swept a third of the stars out of the sky and flung them to the earth. The dragon stood in front of the woman who was about to give birth, so that it might devour her child the moment he was born. She gave birth to a son, a male child, who “will rule all the nations with an iron scepter.”[a] And her child was snatched up to God and to his throne. The woman fled into the wilderness to a place prepared for her by God, where she might be taken care of for 1,260 days."

Israel doesn't seem to fit. But, if you believe it's Israel, who is the child she gives birth to?
 Quoting: Lisa*Lisa

The woman here is Mary. Her son is Jesus. They DID "flee into the wilderness" - they were warned in a dream to flee to Egypt as the king was going to try to murder Jesus as a baby. 1260 days is what? Almost 3 1/2 years? They could have been there for that length of time. Listen, if they left when Jesus was about 6-12 months old (as herod was killing baby males up to 2 years old), and then stayed until Herod had died, Jesus would be well over 3-4 years old......and no longer in danger (if anyone was still following his orders).

I wonder why christians think that christianity would outrule all other religions. There are 7 billions people on earth, but only 2.2 billion christians. That means the probability that christianity is wrong is ~ 69 %.

I also wonder why american christians think that America is a kind of centre of christianity. That whole Jesus thing happened far far away from you, it's an oldworld thing and has nothing to do with the continent America.
You even don't have the pope as major ruler of your religion, it's more like that american christianity is a kind of paralell world in relation to the oldworld christianity of Rome. I can't remember any important visitations of the pope in America.

You think you are the centre but in fact you are completely out of touch with chritianity. Your christianity is just a fabrication on a new continent which was populated with american indians 2000 years ago.
 Quoting: Anonymous Coward 13137091

you said it, bro... Christianity is not an American thing, it was founded at the center of the world...

the vatican is corrupt and satanic at it's top... this is part of prophesy... read up, there's lots of info on this...

anyone who studies the bible and follows Christ's teachings-the Lord's prayer and Love for God and our fellow brothers and sisters--is a Christian...

and without Christ spiritual laws dictate you can and will be messed with by demonic supernatural beings... that's why calling on Jesus Christ works to end the abduction phenomenon in over 400 cases... and why christianity is the only religion belittled and attacked by supposed "aliens" during abduction phenomenons... to say nothing of the new age movements and most other religions that deny God... paganism, buddhism, hinduism, wicca all seek to empower the self and become egoic traps while denying God...

Jesus/God and Satan. That's what we've got to work with here and now.

Satan was a created being, an angel that turned bad, and he wants to destroy us because he knows he's going to be destroyed.

I've been enjoying reading this thread so far hf

I'm curious on your view about what you said above....
What do you think turned satan evil? I was always taught that God was perfect and created only good things so where did the "bad" come from if God created everything including satan?

Again: If 2.2 billion people say "Our book is right" and other 4.7 billion people say "No, our books are right", from where will you know who is right?

Germany, your argument is from a viewpoint of someone who doesn't believe in God, and it's understandable that you think it's silly, but we believe there is a God, and we also believe that eventually we will all be in a situation where we will see the proof.

This is traditionally known as the "argument from ignorance" i.e. something can't be known so it's probably true. It wasn't an interesting or persuasive argument in the time of Aristotle and it still isn't.

why do non believers come on threads about God ,because they want to start a argument and for what, why do you people look for arguments ,if u dont believe then dont come on the thread simple as that

I say: bring it, non-beleivers are just mis-informed! Christ says we will be judged by how we treat each other, especially those in need. Christ came for the sinners, not the just... we are suppose to be patient and truthful... and pray, not judge...

Real, real quick, conciousness and free will are things that exist in "Good" space.

But since free will exists, it is free to venture into "Bad" space with conciousness.

God does not "create" negative space, it exists because existence itself is automatically polar.

Anti-Christians are more obsessed with Christianity and the bible than most Christians

It's curious how ultra religious they are about trying to convert Christians to atheism.

Hi Lisa,

I think some serious cosmic stuff has to happen before we get to the trumpets, but if you want to see statistically if we are in the end time...have a look here:

Very sobering.

The Exponential Curve
Is it a sign that Jesus is returning soon?

My favorite - 8) Society — The disintegration of society has multiplied in speed as violence, wickedness and immorality have increased exponentially. Jesus prophesied this would happen when He said that end time society would be like it was in the days of Noah (Matthew 24:37-39), when violence and immorality prevailed (Genesis 6:11).
