I recall reading that a false tribulation would precede the real one.
As another pointed out, trees and seas still fairly fine.
Quoting: Lada D Right, but my point is that maybe revelation isn't talking about literal trees and seas. Like the stars in revelation are talking about spiritual beings. Obviously, not a literal star. Look: Revelation 9:1-2 "The fifth angel sounded his trumpet, and I saw a star that had fallen from the sky to the earth. The star was given the key to the shaft of the Abyss.When he opened the Abyss, smoke rose from it like the smoke from a gigantic furnace. The sun and sky were darkened by the smoke from the Abyss." Revelation also talks about the Lampstands and Fig tree, which are people, not literal trees and lampstands. Also "sea" means something entirely different then the oceans, look [ link to www.biblemeanings.info] What if the stars falling from the sky are bombs? If that was the case then with all that is going on right now and with the war on the way I say that we are seeing Revilation first hand. Where as you can not take to many symbols in the Bible literally you must think that the man who saw these visions lived thousands of years ago. If it is happening in our time and he seen this then he will describe them as best as he knows how since none of our technology exisited to him back then. Personally I am ready to be the Lords bride. I want off this planet already.  Yea, I don't know anyone that isn't ready to get out of here.....lol.
