update- in the last 2 minutes 2 more rockets were fired at israel.

I think it's safe to say everyone in this thread - for now - is pro Israel?

30 rockets fired this morning

7 iron dome shot down over ashkelon

negev - direct hit on a home (no one home)

ashdod - 2 hits, outside home

no injuries

Even the highlights of the article posted clarifies that any cease-fire is contingent upon Hamas & Co. minding their manners. Of course, if they were that good at minding their manners, this entire event would not be taking place.

Keep in mind that the majority of Hamas & Co. are pretty rudimentary - they will operate much better in the daylight than at night, especially if the electricity is down. While this does provide a distinct advantage to the IDF with night vision capabilities, the day cease-fire with a State-level dignitary visiting provides an intermission that may well prove a costly gesture of good faith. The up-side is that the IDF, though remaining vigilant, will likely be taking advantage of the day as well.

This weekend should prove interesting.
