From the decades of watching the enemy fight against Israel, they are waiting, holding fire for the ground assault. They want a city attack on their turf. They want the Israelis to enter an arena they know the rules to, and Israel may have to kill more than intended if they decide to walk that line.

Heard a couple of hits and they zoomed in on the smoke plume just as I read your post. I was just ready to turn off the feed and it pulled me back in.

I know this thread is for updates, not exchange of opinions, but I can't believe you just said that. You seem very knowledgeable on this issue, more than me.

So you should realise that no conflict like this can be reduced to the "aggressor" and "victims". That's a simplistic narrative. Both sides take part in the conflict. And when you look at the number of victims in this scenario, it becomes clear who is the aggressor, to use your language.

Watching the live station feed is like looking across a demilitarized zone for the movie District 9. I swear I'm not joking.

I support Israel and feel she has the right to defend herself. That said, I also feel that the Palestinians have that same right. Neither side is innocent. If they cant work it out quietly then this is what it will be.
