That is a horrible explanation. When america dropped nukes on japan it didn't destroy the entire country. People lived through the explosions and continued to live in the cities. they still live there today. Nukes are not one size. a small yield nuclear weapon can destroy a small city. Sure there will be fall out but i would bet they are smart enough to nuke places in order to minimize fall out for israelis. everyone else is screwed.

If you country is 100% going to be exterminated in the next 10 min, and your country have nukes...what would you like to happen : get exterminated and do nothing, or get exterminated WHILE taking everyone with you, because everyone put your country in that place?

It is a sci-fi scenario and personally I believe that nukes won't be used, but not because someone is afraid to do so, but because in the case of Israel, everyone MUST do everything posible that Israel would NEVER be in the position to use nukes.

Yes, you can call them selfish...but this is the situation, thankfully mainly to Russia.(they stopped every attempt of peace in M/E.)

Keep in mind that this is largely a symbolic victory for Hamas since they have little control over where the rockets actually land. For example, yesterday the rocket that hit outside Jerusalem fell very close to Arab neighborhoods.

The idea of using such a weapon should make the hair all over your body stand on end. Do you have any idea what the people in Japan had to live through where we nuked them? The destruction was unbelievable.

I realize that nuclear weapons come in an assortment of sizes and colors, but we aren't picking out a box of candy, here. Israel will use nukes ONLY if they see it as game over. If the existence of Israel is at stake, and there is absolutely no other way, perhaps...PERHAPS...the Israeli government might agree to a "limited" nuclear exchange.
