It might make perfect sense that if ground forces are going to be used and strategic operations are going to ensue from here that any cameras must be eliminated first. Traditionally in war the objectives are to move in discretely as possible. With camera's covering everything there isn't much stealth to it lol Thus the only camera we have is now pointing right up against a few buildings there with little to no sound and you can't see the ground from it! Cast Lead lasted 22 days, and there was more pressure against it at the time, there seems to be more international support for this action by Israel.

I think their objective is to re-occupy.

Probably they will take total control and go house to house if they have to.

They will encounter resistance at first, but eventually whatever Hamas has managed to smuggle in the way of anti-tank rockets and such will be used up and there will be nothing left to them.

Israel will destroy the smuggling tunnels, and set troops up on the Egyptian border and then slowly find everything, every gun, every rocket, everything...

I'm not cheer leading here either, just what I think makes sense, if I was Israel this is what i would do.

From their perspective they must crush Hamas and get rid of every last rocket, and this will require reoccupation.
