Not quite

1) The reported 90% figure is bogus. This is Israel we're talking about --- the most diverse, dynamic, crazy population anywhere on earth, but they can't even agree about the price of cottage cheese or condos in down-town Tel Aviv, nevermind about more serious, possibly existential things like WAR. As the old saying, "2 Jews, 3 opinions" :)

2) 90% of people may HATE Hamas rockets on cities, but I bet if you would ask if they themselves want to go in into the booby-trapped Gaza HELL-HOLE rife with craziest Jihadis with advanced anti-tank, anti-Aircraft Russian weaponry, including ability to jam Israeli communications ala Hezbollah.... I bet the REAL percentage would insantly drop from 90 to maybe 20. And understandably so --- Israelis are not fan-boy tards sitting in mom's basaement 1,000's of miles away.

3) Remember, IF this is part of a rumoured much larger, multi-prong, multi-front, multi-nation attack on IRAN... then Gaza was only important to destroy their longer-range rockets & Iranian Command & Control bunkers....and possibly assess if they had chemical WMD from Iran or Syria yet.

If IDF & the US/NATO got most of the critical HAMAS infrastructure and got the answers to those pressing questions.... then Gaza operation would be stupid --- as they are far bigger fish to fry in Iran, Hezbollah and possibly Syria.

That would explain things. But again, none of us know the classified, secret information. So it's all a giant GUESSING GAME at this point. In every respect.

Iran using Gaza as a frontline, that's my guess.

Russia's UN ambassador is frustrated that the Security Council has remained silent about the escalating violence in Gaza between Israel and Hamas.
Ambassador Vitaly Churkin says Morocco had circulated a proposed press statement since last Thursday but foot-dragging by one council member means it "is still bogged down."

Churkin says "To me, it looks like a filibuster attempt."

This whole thing goes on with them all the time only just lately it has been given a lot of media attention which in turn will feed them into more and more extreme actions.

Recollector, I bet that you don't know what news are on all eastern European tvs. It's natural that Russia has a strong voice on Gaza conflict, but I don't watch Russian tv. In Romania, the news are balanced, trying to present only the facts, despite Romania is a country friendly to Israel, every year there are common military exercise, especially from IAF, in my country. So, in many eastern European countries there are no news hostile to Israel.

I f Iranians love Palestinians so much, to the point of supplying them with rockets, just send them all to Iran.

Israel had agreed to briefly hold off on sending ground forces into Gaza, to allow time for cease-fire efforts to continue, an Israeli official told The Jerusalem Post on Monday.

“Israel prefers a diplomatic solution,” the official said. But he added that any agreement must provide a real solution that would erase the threat of rocket attacks against Israel’s southern residents.

If such a diplomatic solution is not found, then Israel is preparing its ground forces to enter Gaza, the official said.
