Vote on Additional Call-up Tuesday

The Knesset Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee is scheduled to vote, Tuesday, on a request by Defense Minister Ehud Barak for an additional call-up of reservists to help the Pillar of Defense counter-terror operation in southern Israel.

Thank you for the level headed answers, and lack of attacks that others may employ. Thank you for noticing that the goal is not genocide. That's a sticking point I have with activists.

The reason I side with Israel in general is because when I look at the way each side attacks the other, I see a genuine goal of killing little toddlers and other emotionally heavy targets from the Palestinians, as seen in their suicide bombings. I do not see Israel intentionally blowing up buses of children or night clubs full of college kids. I see innocents getting killed as side effects.

It could be argued that no accidental killings should be permitted and therefore attacking Hamas in Gaza shouldn't be permitted. That of course wouldn't be possible if rockets are coming by the hundreds, hoping to hit children as they go to and go home from school. Yes, Hamas times rocket attacks to coincide with the times elementary schools are opening, and letting out.

I feel the same way about you as far as being "fair". It would seem that you insist on moral equivalency when clearly it is the Palestinian mode of operation to try to kill toddlers. That's their prized target, and that's what enrages the world in such unwaiverable ways against Palestinians.

None of this is to say I blame regular citizens of Gaza hating Israel after their loved ones get killed. I don't. But remembering the suicide bombings is key.
