The Jews, along with the other Israelite tribes, were chosen by God to record and safeguard His inspired written word. God also chose the Jews (the tribe of Judah) to be the tribe from which Messiah came. All of this was due to the promises made to Abraham. Abraham was the father of both the 12 tribes of Israel (through Isaac and his son Jacob/Israel) AND Ishmael, the father of the Arabs. Do the Jews "deserve" the land of Israel? No. Has God given it to them? Yes. Do any of us deserve any good thing from Him? No. Deserve has got nothing to do with it. |
