Anyone have a clue what the percentage of people in Palestine who are opposed to hamas is????
 Quoting: Angelic_Warrior

These are stats from 2006 where Palestine hold Free elections:

Final results show that Hamas won the election, with 74 seats to the ruling-Fatah's 45, providing Hamas with the majority of the 132 available seats and the ability to form a majority government on their own.

Of the Electoral Lists, Hamas received 44.45% and Fatah 41.43%[1] and of the Electoral Districts, Hamas party candidates received 41.73% and Fatah party candidates received 36.96%.

Now, stats might have changed since 2006 we do not know exactly but what we know for sure is that Hamas won the elections and were not allowed to rule. That's one of the reason they "forcefully" took over Gaza strip. Its politics and long story. You have plenty of info on the net if you interested on that subject.

Thank you for your reply.

I was just curious if there were any people there that don't have a terrorist allegiance.

I really don't see the point in a ground incursion. Israel should just continue bombing 24 hours a day until they're satisfied that security for Israel has been restored.

Hamas–Fatah conflict

Human Rights Watch estimates several hundred Gazans were "maimed" and tortured in the aftermath of the Gaza War. 73 Gazan men accused of "collaborating" had their arms and legs broken by "unidentified perpetrators" and 18 Palestinians accused of collaborating with Israel, who had escaped from Gaza's main prison compound after Israel bombed the facility, were executed by Hamas security officials in the first days of the conflict.[136][137]

Hamas security forces reportedly shot and tortured Palestinians who opposed Hamas rule in Gaza and openly supported Israel's attack. One victim, recovering from multiple gunshot wounds in the leg, told Human Rights Watch he was "so happy they bombed that I was giving out sweets."[136]

In another case, a Palestinian had criticized Hamas in a conversation on the street with some friends. Later that day, more than a dozen armed men with black masks and red kaffiyeh took the man from his home, and brought him to a solitary area where they shot him three times in the lower legs and ankles. The man told Human Rights Watch that he was not politically active.[136]

Hamas security forces attacked hundreds Fatah officials who supported Israel. Human Rights Watch interviewed one such person:

"There were eight of us sitting there. We were all from Fatah. Then three masked militants broke in. They were dressed in brown camouflage military uniforms; they all had guns. They pointed their guns at us and cursed us, then they began beating us with iron rods, including a 10-year-old boy whom they hit in the face. They said we were "collaborators" and "unfaithful." They beat me with iron sticks and gun butts for 15 minutes. They were yelling: "You are happy that Israel is bombing us!" until people came out of their houses, and they withdrew.[136]

You made fun of me several weeks ago when I related a lucid dream I had 50 years ago about WWIII or some religious event would occur connected to Al-Fatah.

Well, guess who's taking credit for the bus bombing that just might be the trip wire for the whole damn place to blow....Al Fatah. I don't claim to have predicted anything but I sure feel a bit vindicated from you people who called me every name in the book.

Personally, I hope I am wrong.

We see them here in the uk, beating their wifs,, killing their children and family if they look at the wrong man, dressing their wifes up head to toe with only slits for eyes, making them walk behind their husbands several paces. All that shit and far more. You might be working with them and all of a sudden they'll stop drop everything and start praying on the ground.

its fucking ridiculous. who thought up this shit!

Thx for sharing that.

Was laying in bed this morning feeling quite comfortable and thinking of the poor people in the ME and how frightened they must be to close their eyes for fear of a rocket exploding.

Then I wondered why don't the "peaceful" people rise up against hamas.. apparently that isn't going to work.

I was brought up in a free country, as a christian but was not forced to obey this religion. I am free!
When i see religions like Islam and the way they are forced to live, it looks hideous like living in some kind of prison camp in the darkages.
Countries like Iran should not be allowed to exist in the 21st century. or at least they should not be allowed to interact with the rest of the world, and certainly should not be allowed to practise their sick beliefs in other peoples countries.

The new minister of foreign affairs can be all pro-Palestinian the minister would like to be, but I can assure you the Dutch Navy is needed when shit hits the fan over there. This is the exact same reason the Dutch were there in Libya as one of the first. The Royal-HasKoning employee they had to pick up in Sirte was a former member of the Dutch Army's Special Forces (KCT) and he was in Sirte because he took a huge amount of pictures from buildings and objects that were bombed not so many time after the Dutch helicopter was caught and the Dutch soldiers were captured.

Besides that the Dutch navy already is deployed in the Israeli area just like they are actively deployed in the Persian Gulf area.

Just saying, if you know what or where to look at, you could see all the signs for something big about to be happening!

Do NOT underestimate the options in which this situation could unfold within the next couple of days. Why do you think the United States Navy has 3 ships on their way to Israel in order to get people evacuated when the shit really starts pounding of the door to the room where all the "fans" are located?!?!?

It's boring now that Gaza is the only one getting hit. I liked it better when the shit was hitting the fan on both sides of the fence.

Re: "Pillar of Defense (Cloud)" - Israel & Hamas Agree to Gaza Cease Fire

It's really one of the most difficult places on earth. If Egypt opened their border to Palestinian refugees that would be a big help, but sadly many use the situation as fodder for the conflict. They don't want to give up the Gazan front. Ideology (on both sides) trumping people's lives is deplorable.
