You see, Israel operates literally DOZENS of different types of drones, small-to-medium-to-large... not even counting the classified/secret type. they make literally 1,000's of operational flights. Especially during war-time. With the kind of sophisticated Russian AA missiles like Igla that Iran has flooded the Gaza strip with over the years.... shooting down a smaller drone is EASY. Drones are very slow taret. But they are very cheap and replaceable, so it's no big deal -- unless you're a retarded Jihadi who wants a "PR win" for his ego. The real danger to Israel is to helicopters & F-16 jets. Those are much more expensive than drones & involve downed Israeli pilots, possibly captured parachuting over Gaza -- leading to a HOSTAGE situation. Gaza Strip is pretty much THE most dangerous place on earth for Westerners right now. More dangerous than Aleppo. More dangerous than Agfanistan. |

The big question for Israel, is the extent to which Russia and China are helping Iran help Gaza/Hezbollah --- if only through their extensive satellite networks. Obviously, offically both Moscow and Beijing would never admit to any of it. |
