Also, the IDF didn't amass huge columns of tanks, infantry and heavy vehicles just to let them sit by the border fence doing nothing. No excuses either about world opinion not allowing it. They have the tacit, if not outright approval of most of the western world.

That's still my opinion. I'm just not sure on the exact timing.

There was no advance into Gaza. Harry sits in a room all day waiting for the ministry of propaganda to tell him what to say. So far everything he has said is a lie. If they had tried to advance into Gaza you would have heard it

Yeah, it would make sense to actually go in, but it's been about 48 hours since they've arrived at the border. Seems that last night was the time to go...and there was small arms fire in the distance... none tonight..

They're gonna have to pick up the pace. One shell in Gaza city every 2 hours isn't gonna do much to soften it up.

All these airstrikes and gatherings on the boarder + reservists being called up, is clearly not for show, IDF intentioned are quite clear now.

You have to realize they have to make sure there are no civilians in the area. That is why they are so careful, if Gaza was a huge military base with no civilians, this operation would have taken 10 hours if not less.

They do realize they cannot rout Hamas with this strict restriction on engagement rules, don't they?

I agree that horror exists their as it does all around us. If we knew of the gruesome acts that occur even in our own towns... We may not feel so safe either..

Taking out the smuggling tunnels in and around Rafah is exactly the type of move I would expect to lay the ground work for an invasion. Think of it as an aerial pincher maneuver. Gaza may have been just cut off from Egypt.

If this is true then Hamas will be seriously weakened !

With many of its top leaders killed and their supply tunnels collapsed they won't last long against a full on ground incursion by the IDF !

I assume by western world you mean America, because I do not see it that way.

I have to say, the mobilization, bombs, artillery, international attention, Israel is not playing around this time. I believe Israel's intention is the complete conquest of Gaza
