my 2 cents User ID: 26646007 Canada 11/16/2012 11:35 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | You act like Israelis are dying all the time...how many have been killed in last 5 years compared to Palestinians? Quoting: Anonymous Coward 19058378 If Mexico started firing rockets at Texas and because of Mexico's poor quality missiles and Texas' Patriot defense shield only a few Americans would die but ! But the death toll in Mexico would be much higher because of the US Army's obvious superiority and capability to hit its targets. You see my point ? Hamas started this and now we're supposed to feel sorry for the Palestinians because the IDF is capable of hitting it's targets and Hamas is not ? May as well give up. I tried this same line of reasoning and it's futile on these guys. Patriotism is supporting your country always -- and your government when they deserve it. Redpaw360 User ID: 11235712 United States 11/16/2012 11:36 PM Report Abusive Post Report Copyright Violation | ... Quoting: ISO I think there's a quiet realization that the standard diplomatic pressure is gonna win again. Really ? You Think ? Im not so sure this time. Depends on how hell bent both sides are in standing for what they believe in I know it for a fact. I have been following this for a long time. Israeli leadership doesn't have the balls to remove Hamas. It would take an invasion of Gaza lasting months, maybe a year or 2 to remove Hamas and change reality there. They're gonna go bomb stuff, accidentally kill some civilians, and then cave to diplo-pressure. Total and utter Bullshit!!! I've been watching the middle east since the mid 1970's, it OS always the same as you describe.... With no eventual outcome. Missile- bomb- rinse lather repeat. I can, for the sake of the world in general, hope that Israel finally drives home the fact that you just don't fuck with Israel year after year like various islamic people in the region have done for decades. Im tired of the saber rattling by Israel, I've watched them hundreds of times agree to a truce, to have sometimes the very next day, more missiles landing on their people. Israel has never been the aggressor, they have patience that few other countries would or should never endure. It's time to fight. Kick their asses finally and live for a few years until the next dumbasses come to the chest puffing stage. Doesn't seem that Hamas is even trying. What are they doing? They're in the drone zone. Only surviving From the decades of watching the enemy fight against Israel, they are waiting, holding fire for the ground assault. They want a city attack on their turf. They want the Israelis to enter an arena they know the rules to, and Israel may have to kill more than intended if they decide to walk that line. You seem very knowledgeable on this issue, more than me. So you should realise that no conflict like this can be reduced to the "aggressor" and "victims". That's a simplistic narrative. Both sides take part in the conflict. And when you look at the number of victims in this scenario, it becomes clear who is the aggressor, to use your language. No disrespect to you, we may engage in debate in another thread. |
